ICC Champions Trophy 2017 begins in London from today- June 1- 18 ,  2017

The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will begin in London from today with hosts England faceing Bangladesh in the Opening match at the Oval before the much-awaited rivalry between India and Pakistan at Edgbaston on Sunday. The matches will begin at 3 p.m. Indian Standard Time.

India, the defending Champions have won both their warm up games.

Eight teams playing in the tournament have been divided into groups A and B. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa are in group B. Whereas, England, Bangladesh, Australia and New Zealand are in group A.

The final of the Champions Trophy will be played on the 18th of June.

All India Radio will broadcast bilingual live commentary in Hindi and English of the Champion Trophy’s matches to be played in England and Wales from today.

The commentary will begin at 2.30 p.m. on all days till 18th June except on 5th and 7th June when the commentary will start from 5.30 p.m. The commentary will be broadcast on the national hook-up and relayed by all the FM Gold channels.

England take on Bangladesh in the opening game of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at the iconic Kennington Oval in London. The Eoin Morgan-led England side possess the most powerful batting unit in the tournament and enter this contest as favourites. Complacency will be the last thought in their mind. England are wary of the history.
