Punjab National Bank (PNB) has released the official notification for the post of Specialist Officers in Grade or Scale of MMGS – II & MMGS -III for various posts such as Manager (Risk), Manager (Credit), Manager (Treasury), Manager (Law), Manager (Civil), Manager (Economic), Manager ( HR), Manager (Architect), Senior Manager (Risk), Senior Manager (Credit) for the year 2020.

The total number of vacancies available for the PNB Specialist Officer is 535 Vacancies.

Selection Procedure – PNB SO Recruitment 2020

Phase I – Online Test / Interview

Selection will be through online test and/or interview.
Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for Test or Interview. The online test shall comprise of the following tests :

The above tests except for the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. in English and Hindi.
Other detailed information regarding the online test examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates for download along with the call letters from the Bank‟s website.

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Test.
For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected score.
If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 35.
The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40%.
The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of aggregate scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination and Interview.
Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.
A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Examination and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment

Probation Period / Bond Time – PNB SO Recruitment 2020

Candidates are advised to note that if selected, they will be required to execute an Indemnity Bond with surety for serving the Bank for a specified period, as below.
In case he/she resigns from or leaves/abandons the service and /or neglects in performance of the duty assigned to him/ her leading to termination of his/her service as per rules/ regulations by the Bank before the specified period, he/she will indemnify the bank upto the extent of bond amount, for all losses, costs, charges and expenses.
Selected officers shall execute the indemnity bond before joining the Bank.
