Railway Recruitment 2018  – Age Relaxation

Dear Aspirants,

The notification for the Railway recruitment has been announced in the previous month and the number of vacancies announced for the posts such as ALP , Technician and Group “D” are large and to be precise extremely large when compared to the other recruitment going on now. So this is an undeniable exam and everyone should be focused on to the exam because many aspirants have already applied for the exams and the competition would be intense and cracking the exams by overcoming all those difficulties will be a challenging situation.

RAILWAYS INCREASES UPPER AGE LIMIT FOR ALP & TECHNICIANS POST 2018


Apart from the increase in the age limit , Railways has also increased the following factors so that it would easier for the Applying candidates. Following are the changes included in the notification of the recent Railway recruitment and they are as follows :

1. Restoration of Age Relaxation

2. Examination Fees

3. Educational Qualification

4. Language

5. Signature

RAILWAY RECRUITMENT 2018 – EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & SIGNATURE – UPDATES


Some of the categories age relaxations were not mentioned in the updated notification, So RRB has mentioned that in the following notification which is mentioned in the below one. The categories mentioned in the recently released notification are mentioned below.

1. Ex-Servicemen candidates who have put in more than 6 months service after attestation

2. Candidates ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980

to 31.12.1989

3. Candidates who are working in Quasi- Administrative offices of the Railway organization such as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies and Institutes

4. Course Completed Act Apprentices applying for the posts for which minimum qualification is ITI/Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.

It is unbelievable that almost 1.5 Crore candidates have applied for the Railway Exams till now and since the last date to apply for the Railway Exam is 31st March, 2018, the number of aspirants applying for the RRB Exams will rise appropriately.

Since there are 90, 000 Posts available in the Railway exams announced in the recent times and also this is a time for the preparation for the other exams and also an added factor is that the educational qualification to apply for the posts is way less when compared to the other exams. So the number of aspirants appearing for the exams are quite high and also the exams are happening after 4 years and many of the aspirants were eagerly waiting for this exams.
