RRB JE 2019 : Notification regarding Choice of Exam Group

Dear Railway Aspirants,

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notification for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) for the year 2019.

The Online Registration process for the RRB JE 2019 starts today (2nd January, 2018). The notification is by view a large one and we have already shared the breakdown of the RRB JE 2019 in a separate post. The last date to apply for the eligible positions is 7th February, 2019.

The Exam Group has to be selected during the Online Application process of RRB JE 2019 and RRB has further amplified the exam group selection of the RRB JE 2019.

The total number of vacancies available for the RRB JE 2019 is 13384. Previously, the total number of vacancies available for the RRB JE 2019 were announced as 14033.

The following is an excerpt from the official notification from Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) which was released today.

While choosing the exam group during Online Application process, the last paragraph of Para 13.2 of the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 03/2018 has been further amplified, for the benefit of the candidates, as under:

“A candidate possessing more than one minimum educational qualification, mapped to different Exam Groups, can choose any one Exam Group, provided he/she opts for the post(s) whose educational qualification is mapped to the chosen exam group. However, these candidates would be eligible for all the opted posts”.
