SSC CGL 2021-2022 Official Notification Released

SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 Notification Released : SSC (Staff Selection Commission) which conducts the SSC CGL Exam to recruit candidates for the post of GRADE “B” and Grade “C” category posts in various Government Ministries, Departments and Offices has released the official notification of the SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 now in the official website of SSC.

The SSC CGL Exam 2021 – 2022 will be held in 4 tiers. Tier I & Tier II are online Exams and Tier III & Tier IV Exams are offline Exams.

SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 – Total Number of Vacancies

  • Vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancy positions will be uploaded on the website of the Commission (SSC > Candidate’s Corner > Tentative Vacancy).
  • Reservation for Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST), Other Backward Classes(OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates for all the categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/Departments/ Offices/ Cadres, as per extant Government Orders.
  • Vacancies for ESM are reserved for only Group “C”.

SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 – Age Limit

The Age Limit will be considered as on 1st January, 2022

(i) For the posts for which the age limit is 18-27 years The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004.
(ii) For the posts for which the age limit is 20-30 years The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2002.
(iii) For the posts for which the age limit is 18-30 years The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2004.
(iv) For the post for which the age limit is 18-32 years The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-2004.

SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 – Educational Qualification

The educational qualification will be considered as on 23rd January, 2022.

  • Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:
  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business
  • During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts
  • Junior Statistical Officer:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; (Or) Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
  • Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT):
  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Degree in law from a recognized
  • Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):
  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
  • Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution;
  • Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.
  • All other Posts:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or
  • The candidates must possess Essential qualification on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications i.e. 23-01-2022.
  • As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015 published in the Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Accordingly, unless such degrees are recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired the qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.
  • As per UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 published in official Gazette on 23-06-2017, under Part-III (8) (v), the programmes in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy etc. are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode. However, pursuant to the Hon’ble Supreme Court Order dated 11-03-2019 in MA No. 3092/2018 in W.P. (C) No. 382/2018 titled Mukul Kumar Sharma & others Vs AICTE and others, B. Tech. degree/ diploma in Engineering awarded by IGNOU to the students who were enrolled up to academic year 2009-10 shall be treated as valid, wherever
  • All the candidates who are called for documents verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Degree of Graduation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the stipulated date, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification. It is reiterated that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Institute/ University by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the University/ Institute by the cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement.
  • In case of the candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification, such candidates shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificates from the authorities concerned at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the User Departments/ Appointing Authorities.

SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 – Scheme of Examination

The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

  • Tier-I: Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-II: Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-III: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
  • Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable).

SSC CGL 2021 – 2022 – Application Fees

  • Fee payable: ₹100/- (Rs one hundred only).
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • Online fee can be paid by candidates up to 25-01-2022 (23:30 hours). However, candidates who wish to make cash payment through the challan of SBI, may make payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 27-01-2022 provided the challan has been generated by them before 26-01-2022 (23:30 hours).
