• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’ scheme in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
• It is a government programme to deliver essential healthcare at the doorstep of the people through primary healthcare centres.

1. தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் ‘மக்களைத் தேடி மருத்துவம்’ திட்டத்தை ஓசூரில் தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்

• தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் ‘மக்களைத் தேடி மருத்துவம்’ திட்டத்தை தமிழ்நாட்டின் ஓசூரில் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
• இது ஆரம்ப சுகாதார நிலையங்கள் மூலம் மக்களின் வீட்டிற்கே அத்தியாவசியமான சுகாதார பராமரிப்புகளை வழங்குவதற்கான அரசாங்கத்தின் திட்டமாகும்.

2. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted ’12B’ status to the Tamil Nadu University of Teacher Education

• The Tamil Nadu University of Teacher Education, in Karapakkam was granted the status of ’12B’ by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• The Tamil Nadu University of Teacher Education was established in July 2008 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. As per the norms of the University Grants Commission, only educational institutions with 12B status will be granted central assistance and permission to implement new educational schemes.

2. தமிழ்நாடு ஆசிரியா் கல்வியியல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்துக்கு பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக் குழு (யுஜிசி) ‘12பி’ அந்தஸ்து வழங்கியுள்ளது

• காரப்பாக்கத்திலுள்ள தமிழ்நாடு ஆசிரியா் கல்வியியல் பல்கலைக்கழகம், பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக்குழுவின் (யுஜிசி) ‘12பி’ அந்தஸ்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளது.
• தமிழ்நாடு ஆசிரியா் கல்வியியல் பல்கலைக்கழகம் கடந்த ஜூலை மாதம் 2008ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழக அரசின் சாா்பில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக் குழுவின் விதிமுறைப்படி, 12பி அந்தஸ்து பெற்ற கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுக்கு மட்டுமே மத்திய அரசின் நிதியுதவி மற்றும் கல்வி சாா்ந்த புதிய திட்டங்களை செயல்படுத்துவதற்கான அனுமதி ஆகியவை வழங்கப்படும்.

• India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier ‘Vikrant’ began its maiden sea trials. Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) ‘Vikrant’ was built at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). With this, India has joined the list of certain countries capable of designing and building the largest aircraft carrier with integrated modern technology.
• The first indigenously developed aircraft carrier has been named after Vikrant Bork to commemorate 50 years of the vital role played by the ship in India’s victory in the 1971 Pakistan war.
• India at present has only one aircraft carrier, ‘INS Vikramaditya’.

• உள்நாட்டிலேயே உருவாக்கப்பட்ட முதல் விமானம் தாங்கி போா்க் கப்பலான ‘விக்ராந்த்’இன் சோதனை ஓட்டம் தொடங்கியது. இந்த விக்ராந்த் போா்க் கப்பல் கொச்சி கப்பல் கட்டும் தளத்தில் கட்டப்பட்டதாகும். இதன் மூலம், ஒருங்கிணைந்த நவீன தொழில்நுட்ப வசதிகளுடன் கூடிய மிகப்பெரிய விமானம் தாங்கி போா்க் கப்பலை முழுவதும் உள்நாட்டிலேயே வடிவமைத்து, கட்டுமானத்தையும் மேற்கொள்ளும் திறன்கொண்ட குறிப்பிட்ட சில நாடுகளின் பட்டியலில் இந்தியாவும் இணைந்துள்ளது.
• பாகிஸ்தானுக்கு எதிரான 1971ஆம் ஆண்டு போரில் இந்தியாவின் வெற்றிக்கு விக்ராந்த் போா்க் கப்பல் மிக முக்கியப் பங்காற்றியதற்கான 50 ஆண்டுகளை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில் இந்த கப்பலுக்கு அதனுடைய பெயரே வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்தியாவிடம் இப்போது ‘ஐஎன்எஸ் விக்ரமாதித்யா’ என்ற ஒரே ஒரு விமானம் தாங்கி போா்க் கப்பல் தான் உள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• உம்லிங் லாவில் 19,300 அடி உயரத்தில் உள்ள சாலை உலகின் மிக உயர்ந்த மோட்டார் சாலையாக உருவெடுத்துள்ளது. மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் உள்ள எல்லைச் சாலைகள் அமைப்பு இந்த சாலையை அமைத்துள்ளது. இது பொலிவியாவின் சாதனையை முறியடித்தது. ஹிமான்க் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இந்த சாலை அமைக்கப்பட்டது.

• India and the World Bank have signed a $250 million project to make existing dams safe and resilient. The project will be implemented through the Central Water Commission.

7. Captain Ramesh Babu pens a book ‘My Own Mazagon’

• Captain Ramesh Babu is a former Project Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Defence Shipbuilding, Kozhikode.
• Mazagon is an archipelago in Mumbai inhabited by Kolis, Bhandaris and other natives.
• He had also published Calicut Heritage Trailsat the Kerala Literature Festival in 2020, after serving in Kozhikode for five years.

8. Ravi Kumar Dahiya enters the finals of the men’s freestyle 57 kg wrestling in the Tokyo Olympics 2020

• Ravi Kumar Dahiya entered the finals of the men’s freestyle wrestling in the 57 kg category. He is the second Indian wrestler to enter the finals after Sushil Kumar.
• He will compete with Zaur Uguev of Russia in the finals. He defeated Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev in the semifinals.

• ஆடவர் ஃப்ரீஸ்டைல் 57 கிலோ மல்யுத்தத்தில் ரவிக்குமார் தஹியா இறுதிப் போட்டிக்குள் நுழைந்தார். இவர் சுஷில் குமாருக்குப் பிறகு இறுதிப் போட்டியில் நுழைந்த இரண்டாவது இந்திய மல்யுத்த வீரர் ஆவார்.
• இறுதிப் போட்டியில் அவர் ரஷ்யாவின் ஜௌர் உகுவேவுடன் போட்டியிடுவார். அரையிறுதியில் அவர் கஜகஸ்தானின் நூர்இஸ்லாம் சனாயேவை தோற்கடித்தார்.

• India won the bronze medal in men’s hockey defeating Germany 5-4 in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. India has won a bronze medal after 41 years in Olympics hockey.
• Indian men’s hockey team has won eight gold medals in the Olympics. India emerged as champions at the Olympic Games in 1928, 1932, 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, 1964 and 1980.

10. Indian women’s hockey team is set to play for bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020

• India lost the semifinals with Argentina in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 women’s hockey. So, the team is set to play for the bronze medal with Great Britain.
• Women’s hockey was introduced in the Olympics in 1980.
