TAMIL NADU

1. Chola inscription found near Kallakurichi

• An 830-year-old Chola inscription was found by archaeologists at a Shiva Temple near Kallakurichi.
• A team of inscription researchers from the Salem Historical Research Center, Villupuram Veeragavan and Arakaloor Pon. Venkatesan had conducted the excavation.
• This inscription was carved 830 years ago in the 13^th reign of Kulothunga Chola III, i.e. 1191 AD. In that inscription, the Third Kulothungan named Veerarajendracholan is mentioned.

1. கள்ளக்குறிச்சி அருகே சோழா் கால கல்வெட்டு கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது

• கள்ளக்குறிச்சி அருகேயுள்ள சிவன் கோயிலில் 830 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முற்பட்ட சோழா் கால கல்வெட்டு தொல்லியல் ஆய்வாளா்களால் கண்டறியப்பட்டது.
• சேலம் வரலாற்று ஆய்வு மையத்தைச் சோ்ந்த கல்வெட்டு ஆய்வாளா்கள் விழுப்புரம் வீரராகவன் மற்றும் ஆறகளூா் பொன். வெங்கடேசன் ஆகியோா் அடங்கிய குழுவினா் இந்த தொல்லியல் ஆய்வுகளை மேற்கொணடனா்.
• இந்தக் கல்வெட்டு, 830 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் மூன்றாம் குலோத்துங்கச் சோழனின் 13ஆம் ஆட்சியாண்டு, அதாவது கி. பி. 1191ஆம் ஆண்டு செதுக்கப்பட்டது. அந்த கல்வெட்டில், வீரராசேந்திரசோழன் என்ற மூன்றாம் குலோத்துங்கனின் பெயா் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

2. Digital platform ‘Kisan Sarathi’ was launched to facilitate farmers to get ‘right information at the right time’

• Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) celebrated its 93^rd Foundation Day on 16 July.
• As part of this celebration, a digital platform named ‘Kisan Sarathi’ was launched to facilitate farmers to get ‘right information at the right time’ in their desired language.
• This was launched by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister of Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav.

2. டிஜிட்டல் தளமான ‘கிசான் சாரதி‘ விவசாயிகளுக்கு ‘சரியான நேரத்தில் சரியான தகவல்களை’ பெற வசதியாக தொடங்கப்பட்டது

• இந்திய வேளாண் ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சில் (ஐ.சி.ஏ.ஆர்) தனது 93 வது நிறுவன தினத்தை 16 ஜூலை அன்று கொண்டாடியது.
• ‘கிசான் சாரதி‘ என்ற டிஜிட்டல் தளத்தை விவசாயிகளுக்கு சரியான நேரத்தில் சரியான தகவல்களைப் பெற வசதியாக அவர்கள் விரும்பிய மொழியில் இவ்விழாவின் ஒரு பகுதியாக அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்.
• இதை மத்திய வேளாண்மை மற்றும் உழவர் நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் நரேந்திர சிங் தோமர் மற்றும் மத்திய மின்னணு மற்றும் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப அமைச்சர் அஸ்வினி வைஷ்ணவ் ஆகியோர் இணைந்து தொடங்கி வைத்தனர்.

3. PM Narendra Modi virtually inagurates Gandhi Nagar Railway Station with a Five Star hotel

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the renovated Gandhinagar Railway Station in Gujarat which was built with a five-star hotel.
• It is the first railway station in India with a Five-star hotel and sophisticated facilities. 
• Prime Minister also inaugurated the renovated Watnag Railway Station, new buildings in the Science City of Ahmedabad and the Gandhinagar-Varanasi and Gandhinagar-Varita express trains.

3. இந்திய பிரதமா் நரேந்திர மோடி மெய்நிகராக ஐந்து நட்சத்திர விடுதியுடன் கூடிய காந்திநகா் ரயில் நிலையத்தை திறந்து வைத்தாா்

• ஐந்து நட்சத்திர விடுதியுடன் குஜராத் மாநிலத்தில் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ள மறுசீரமைக்கப்பட்ட காந்திநகா் ரயில் நிலையத்தை பிரதமா் நரேந்திர மோடி மெய்நிகராக திறந்து வைத்தாா்.
• இந்தியாவிலேயே ஐந்து நட்சத்திர விடுதி மற்றும் அதிநவீன வசதிகள் கொண்ட முதல் ரயில் நிலையம் இதுவாகும்.
• இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில், மறுசீரமைக்கப்பட்ட வாட்நகா் ரயில் நிலையத்தையும், ஆமதாபாத் அறிவியல் நகரத்தில் புதிய கட்டடங்களையும், காந்திநகா்-வாராணசி, காந்திநகா்-வரீதா விரைவு ரயில்களையும் பிரதமா் மோடி தொடக்கி வைத்தாா்.

4. India gets its first ‘Grain ATM’ in Gurugram

• In a first of its kind, Haryana Government has set up its first ATM machine for dispensing food grains at Farrukhnagar in Gurugram.
• The purpose of this ATM is to make the distributions of grains at government-run ration shops easy and hassle-free.
• This machine can dispense up to 70 kg of grains within five to seven minutes at a time.

4. குருகிராமில் இந்தியா தனது முதல் ‘தானிய ஏடிஎம்‘ பெற்றுள்ளது

• குருகிராமில் உள்ள ஃபாரூக்நகரில் உணவு தானியங்களை விநியோகிப்பதற்காக ஹரியானா அரசு தனது முதல் ஏடிஎம் இயந்திரத்தை அமைத்துள்ளது.
• இந்த ஏடிஎம்மின் நோக்கம் அரசாங்கத்தால் நடத்தப்படும் நியாயவிலைக் கடைகளில் தானியங்களை விநியோகிப்பதை எளிதாக்குவது.
• ஒவ்வொரு இயந்திரமும் ஒரு நேரத்தில் ஐந்து முதல் ஏழு நிமிடங்களுக்குள் 70 கிலோ வரை தானியங்களை விநியோகிக்க முடியும்.

5. Union Ministry of Electronics & IT signs an MoU with MapmyIndia to enables map services in “UMANG App”

• Union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology has enabled map services in “UMANG App” through an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MapmyIndia.
• As a result of the integration of UMANG with MapmyIndia maps, citizens will be able to find government facilities nearest to their location, such as mandis, blood banks and much more, at the click of a button.
• Citizens will also be able to view the driving distance, get directions and turn by turn voice and visual guidance to locations, including traffic and road safety alerts during navigation, through the linkage between UMANG App and MapmyIndia.

5. மத்திய மின்னணு மற்றும் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப அமைச்சகம் “மேப்மைஇந்தியாவுடன் “உமாங் செயலி”இல் வரைபட சேவைகளை இயக்க புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துள்ளது

• மத்திய மின்னணு மற்றும் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப அமைச்சகம் (MeitY) மேப்மிஇந்தியாவுடன் ஒரு புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் மூலம்“உமாங் செயலி ”இல் வரைபட சேவைகளை இயக்கியுள்ளது .
• மேப்மிஇந்தியா வரைபடங்களுடன் உமாங்ஐ ஒருங்கிணைப்பதன் விளைவாக, குடிமக்கள் தங்கள் இருப்பிடத்திற்கு அருகிலுள்ள அரசாங்க வசதிகளான நியாயைவிலைக் கடைகள், இரத்த வங்கிகள் மற்றும் பலவற்றை ஒரு பொத்தானைக் கிளிக் செய்வதன் மூலம் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியும்.

6. Kerala Government amends Dowry Prohibition Rules and Appoints district officers to end menace

• In view of increasing complaints of dowry harassment in Kerala, the Kerala Government has amended its Dowry Prohibition Rules to appoint ‘Dowry Prohibition Officers’ in all 14 districts as part of taking stringent measures against the menace.
• State Health Minister Veena George said the post of Dowry Prohibition Officers had already existed on a regional basis in three districts – Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode and it has now been expanded to all districts.
• The District Women and Child Development Officers would act as Dowry Prohibition Officer in each district.
• As part of the initiative, the Director of Women and Child Development has been appointed as the Chief Dowry Prohibition officer.

6. கேரள அரசு வரதட்சணை தடை விதிகளை திருத்தி அச்சுறுத்தலை முடிவுக்கு கொண்டு வர மாவட்ட அதிகாரிகளை நியமித்திருக்கிறது

• திருவனந்தபுரம், எர்ணாகுளம் மற்றும் கோழிக்கோடு ஆகிய மூன்று மாவட்டங்களில் பிராந்திய அடிப்படையில் வரதட்சணை தடை அதிகாரிகள் பதவி ஏற்கனவே இருந்ததாகவும், அது இப்போது அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களுக்கும் விரிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றும் கேரள சுகாதார அமைச்சர் வீணா ஜார்ஜ் தெரிவித்தார்.
• ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் மாவட்ட பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் மேம்பாட்டு அதிகாரிகள் வரதட்சணை தடை அதிகாரியாக செயல்படுவார்கள் என்று அவர் ஒரு அறிக்கையில் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

7. US Congress apporves Seema Nanda as Chief Legal Officer

• Seema Nanda, 48, of Indian descent, has been approved by the US Congress as Chief Legal Officer of the US Department of Labor.
• US President Joe Biden appointed Seema Nanda to the post of Chief Legal Officer of the US Department of Labour.
• Previously, she worked as a labor and employment lawyer for 15 years. 

7. சீமா நந்தா அமெரிக்க காங்கிரஸால் தலைமை சட்ட அதிகாரியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்

• அமெரிக்க தொழிலாளா் நலத்துறையின் தலைமை சட்ட அதிகாரியாக சீமா நந்தா (48) நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதற்கு அமெரிக்க காங்கிரஸ் ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.
• அமெரிக்க தொழிலாளா் நலத்துறையின் தலைமை சட்ட அதிகாரி பொறுப்புக்கு சீமா நந்தாவை அமெரிக்க அதிபா் ஜோ பைடன் நியமித்தாா்.
• முன்னதாக, இவர் தொழிலாளா் மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்பு தொடா்பான வழக்குரைஞராக அவா் 15 ஆண்டுகள் பணியாற்றியுள்ளாா்.

8. International Justice Day 2021

• International Justice Day is observed on 17 It is also known as World Day of International Justice or International Criminal Justice Day.
• This day brings together all people who want to support justice, advocate victims’ rights and aid in the prevention of crime that threatens the world’s peace, safety and well-being.
• Theme 2021: “Social Justice in the Digital Economy”
• This day is designated as World Day for International Justice since it marks the 20^th anniversary of the Rome Statute’s adoption in 1998. 

8. சர்வதேச நீதி தினம் 2021

• சர்வதேச நீதி தினம் 17 ஜூலை அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இது சர்வதேச நீதி தினம் அல்லது சர்வதேச குற்றவியல் நீதி தினம் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

9. Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui killed in Afghanistan

• Pulitzer Prize-winning Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui was killed while covering a clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters near a border crossing with Pakistan.
• Working for Reuters since 2010, Siddiqui covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Rohingya refugee crisis, the Hong Kong protests and Nepal earthquakes.
• He was part of a Reuters team to won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography for documenting the Rohingya refugee crisis.

10. Actress Surekha Sikri passed away due to cardiac arrest

• National Award-winning actress Surekha Sikri died in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest at the age of 75.
• Surekha Sikri made her debut with the 1978 political drama film Kissa Kursi Ka and played author-backed roles across films in various industries.
• She received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress thrice, including Tamas (1988), Mammo (1995) and Badhaai Ho (2018).

10. நடிகை சுரேகா சிக்ரி இருதய நோயால் காலமானார்

• தேசிய விருது பெற்ற நடிகை சுரேகா சிக்ரி மும்பையில் 75 வயதில் இருதய நோயால் காலமானார்.
• சுரேகா சிக்ரி 1978ஆம் ஆண்டு அரசியல் நாடக திரைப்படமான கிஸ்ஸா குர்சி கா மூலம் அறிமுகமானார் மற்றும் பல்வேறு மொழிகளின் திரைப்படங்களில் எழுத்தாளர் ஆதரவு வேடங்களில் நடித்தார்.

11. A R Rahman and Ananya Birla launch the Tokyo Olympics cheer song ‘Hindustani Way’

• Singer Ananya Birla and music maestro R. Rahman to launched a cheer song, ‘Hindustani Way’ for Indian sports personalities as they gear up for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
• This song was sung by Ananya and composed by R. Rahman. This song was launched by the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur.

11. ஏ. ஆர். ரஹ்மானும் அனன்யா பிர்லாவும் டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக்கின் உற்சாக பாடலான ‘இந்துஸ்தானி வே‘ வெளியிட்டனர்

• 2020 டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக்கில் பங்கேற்கும் இந்திய விளையாட்டு வீரர்களுக்கான ஒரு உற்சாகமான பாடலைத் பாடகர் அனன்யா பிர்லா மற்றும் இசை மேஸ்ட்ரோ ஏ. ஆர். ரஹ்மானுடன் இணைந்து வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.
