1. Anaimalai Tiger Reserve gets Global CA|TS recognition for good tiger conservation

• 14 tiger reserves in India received the accreditation of the Global Conservation Assured|Tiger Standards (CA|TS). Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards (CA|TS) is an accreditation tool by the global coalition of Tiger Range Countries (TRC) launched in 2011.

They are:

• Manas, Kaziranga and Orang Tiger Reserves in Assam
• Satpura, Kanha and Panna Tiger Reserves in Madhya Pradesh
• Pench Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra
• Valmiki Tiger Reserve in Bihar
• Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh
• Sunderbans Tiger Reserve in West Bengal
• Parambikulam Tiger Reserve in Kerala
• Bandipur Tiger Reserve of Karnataka
• Mudumalai and Anamalai Tiger Reserves in Tamil Nadu

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched scarless robotic liver donor surgery scheme. This surgery will be covered under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.

2. வடுஇல்லாத ரோபாட்டிக் கல்லீரல் தான அறுவை சிகிச்சை திட்டத்தை தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்

• வடுஇல்லாத ரோபாட்டிக் கல்லீரல் தான அறுவை சிகிச்சை திட்டத்தை தமிழக முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் தொடங்கி வைத்தார். இந்த அறுவை சிகிச்சை தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சரின் விரிவான மருத்துவ காப்பீட்டுத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டுள்ள்து.

3. National Gallery of Australia returns Chola art works to India

• The National Gallery of Australia (NGA) announced that it would return 14 repatriated art works of from its Asian art collection to India.
• The works include six bronze or stone sculptures, a brass processional standard, a painted scroll and six photographs.
• It includes a dancing child-saint Sambandar idol of the 12^th century belonging to the Chola Dynasty.

• ஆஸ்திரேலியாவின் தேசிய கலைக்காட்சி கூடம் (என்ஜிஏ) அதன் ஆசிய கலை சேகரிப்பில் இருந்து தாயகம் திரும்பிய 14 கலைப் படைப்புகளை இந்தியாவுக்குத் திருப்பித் தரப்போவதாக அறிவித்தது.
• அதில் ஆறு வெண்கல அல்லது கல் சிற்பங்கள், பித்தளை ஊர்வலத் தளம், வர்ணம் பூசப்பட்ட சுருள் மற்றும் ஆறு புகைப்படங்கள் ஆகியவை அடங்கும்.

4. IIT-Hyderabad develops COVID-19 testing kit ‘COVIHOME’

• IIT-Hyderabad developed a cheaper COVID-19 testing kit, ‘COVIHOME’, which is powered by artificial intelligence. It gives results within 30 minutes for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.
• It does not require RT-PCR test (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction).

4. கோவிட்-19 சோதனை சாதனமான ‘கோவிஹோம்’ஐ ஐஐடி ஹைதராபாத் உருவாக்கியுள்ளது

• ஐஐடி-ஹைதராபாத் ஒரு விலை குறைவான கோவிட்-19 சோதனை சாதனமான ‘கோவிஹோம்’ஐ உருவாக்கியது. இது செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு மூலம் இயக்கப்படுகிறது. இது அறிகுறி மற்றும் அறிகுறியற்ற நோயாளிகளுக்கு 30 நிமிடங்களுக்குள் முடிவுகளை அளிக்கிறது.

• NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope found evidence of water vapour in the atmosphere of Jupiter’s moon Ganymede for the first time. Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system.

5. நாசாவின் ஹப்பிள் விண்வெளி தொலைநோக்கி முதல் முறையாக வியாழன் கிரகத்தின் நிலவான கனிமேடின் வளிமண்டலத்தில் நீராவிக்கான ஆதாரங்களைக் கண்டறிந்துள்ளது

• நாசாவின் ஹப்பிள் விண்வெளி தொலைநோக்கி முதல் முறையாக வியாழன் கிரகத்தின் நிலவான கனிமேடின் வளிமண்டலத்தில் நீராவியின் ஆதாரங்களைக் கண்டறிந்தது. சூரிய மண்டலத்தில் உள்ள மிகப்பெரிய நிலவு கனிமேட் ஆகும்.

6. IIT Kanpur develops Light Unmanned Drone-Helicopter

• An advanced lightweight helicopter weighing 4 kg has been developed by Endure Air Private Ltd., which is a startup company incubated at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
• It was showcased in the world’s first Hybrid Air Show named Aero India 2021. The 13^th edition of the Hybrid Air Show was held at Bengaluru’s Yelahanka Air Force Station in February 2021 and it was inaugurated by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

6. ஐ.ஐ.டி கான்பூர் இலகு ரக ஆளில்லா ட்ரோன்-ஹெலிகாப்டரை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது

• இந்திய தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் (ஐஐடி) கான்பூரின் உதவியுடன் இயங்கும் ஒரு தொடக்க நிறுவனமான என்டூர் ஏர் பிரைவேட் நிறுவனம் 4 கிலோ எடையுள்ள ஒரு மேம்பட்ட இலகுரக ஹெலிகாப்டரை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது.
• இது ஏரோ இந்தியா 2021 என்ற உலகின் முதல் கலப்பு வான் நிகழ்ச்சியில் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. கலப்பு வான் நிகழ்ச்சியின் 13வது பதிப்பு பிப்ரவரி 2021இல் பெங்களூரு யெலஹங்கா விமானப்படை நிலையத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. அதை மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் ராஜ்நாத் சிங் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

7. UCSF scientists turn speech-impaired man’s vocal signals into words

• Researchers at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) have developed a system that used AI models to translate signals from a speech-impaired person’s brain to the vocal tract into words that appear as text on a screen.
• This is the first successful demonstration of direct decoding of full words from the brain activity of someone who is paralysed and cannot speak. The system was able to decode up to 18 words per minute.

• கலிபோர்னியா சான் பிரான்சிஸ்கோ பல்கலைக்கழக ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் (யுசிஎஸ்எஃப்) பேச்சு குறைபாடுள்ள நபரின் மூளையில் இருந்து குரல் பாதை வழியாக சமிக்ஞைகளை திரையில் தோன்றும் வார்த்தைகளாக மொழிபெயர்க்க செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு மாதிரிகளைப் பயன்படுத்தும் ஒரு அமைப்பை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.
• முடக்குவாதத்தால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு, பேச முடியாத ஒருவரின் மூளைச் செயல்பாட்டிலிருந்து முழு வார்த்தைகளை நேரடியாக குறிவிலக்கு செய்யும் முதல் வெற்றிகரமான தொழில்நுட்பம் இதுவாகும். இந்த அமைப்பு மூலம் நிமிடத்திற்கு 18 வார்த்தைகள் வரை குறிநீக்க முடிந்தது.

8. Union Government announces 27% reservation for OBCs and 10% for EWS in medical and dental courses

• Union Government has provided 27 per cent reservation for OBCs and 10 per cent reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in the All-India Quota Scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses from the current academic year 2021-2022 onwards.

10. Lovlina Borgohain assures first boxing medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020

• Lovlina Borgohain won the quarter-finals boxing match of the 69 kg category at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. She defeated former World Champion, Nien-Chin Chen, in the quarter-finals boxing match
• Lovlina will be the second Indian woman boxer after Mary Kom and third overall to win an Olympic medal.

10. டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020இல் இந்தியாவுக்கான முதல் குத்துச்சண்டை பதக்கத்தை லவ்லினா பார்கோஹைன் உறுதி செய்துள்ளார்

• டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020இல் 69 கிலோ எடைப்பிரிவின் குத்துச்சண்டை காலிறுதி போட்டியில் லவ்லினா பார்கோஹைன் வெற்றி பெற்றார். குத்துச்சண்டை காலிறுதி போட்டியில் அவர் முன்னாள் உலக சாம்பியன் நியென்-சின் சென்-ஐ தோற்கடித்தார்.
• லவ்லினா, மேரி கோமுக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக இரண்டாவது இந்திய பெண் குத்துச்சண்டை வீரராகவும், ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக ஒலிம்பிக் பதக்கம் வெல்லும் மூன்றாவது இந்திய குத்துச்சண்டை வீரரும் ஆவார்.

11. Muthulakshmi Reddy’s Birth Anniversary – 30 July

• Muthulakshmi Reddy was the first woman legislator of India.
• She was the first woman Member of the Madras Legislative Council.
• She was the first elected woman Deputy Chairperson in the Madras Legislative Council.
• She was the first President of the Women’s India Association.
• She was elected as the first female Member of the Madras (now Chennai) Corporation.
• She started the Cancer Institute in Adyar.
• In 1931, she presided over the first Asian Women’s Conference at Lahore.
