TAMIL NADU

1. Vezham, an Elephant interpretation centre is being built near Mettupalayam

• An elephant interpretation centre-cum-park by the Forest Department is being built at the timber depot of the Forest Department on Kotagiri Road near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district.
• The indoor interpretation centre has been named ‘Vezham’, one of the many names for elephant in Tamil.
• The installations, paintings and specimens displayed at the interpretation centre will help visitors understand types of elephants, characteristics of elephants, their role in the protection of the forest and ecology, the need to protect them and their role and references in literature and culture.

1. வேழம் என்ற யானை விளக்க மையம், மேட்டுப்பாளையம் அருகே அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது

• கோயம்புத்தூர் மாவட்டம், மேட்டுப்பாளையம் அருகே, கோத்தகிரி சாலையில் உள்ள வனத்துறையின் மரகிடங்கில் வனத்துறையால் யானை விளக்க மையம் மற்றும் பூங்கா கட்டப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
• தமிழில் யானைக்கான பல பெயர்களில் ஒன்றான ‘வேழம்‘ என்று உட்புற விளக்க மையத்திற்கு பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• விளக்க மையத்தில் காட்டப்படும் நிறுவல்கள், ஓவியங்கள் மற்றும் மாதிரிகள் பார்வையாளர்களுக்கு யானைகளின் வகைகள், யானைகளின் பண்புகள், காடு மற்றும் சூழலியல் பாதுகாப்பில் அவற்றின் பங்கு, அவற்றைப் பாதுகாப்பதன் அவசியம் மற்றும் இலக்கியம் மற்றும் கலாச்சாரத்தில் அவற்றின் பங்கு மற்றும் குறிப்புகளைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள உதவும்.

2. Tamil Nadu’s infrastructure spending up 26% in 2020-21

• Tamil Nadu’s spending on infrastructure increased by about 7% in FY 2020-21, compared to FY 2019-20.
• The State’s capital expenditure which goes into infrastructure projects was Rs. 32,473.76 crores in 2020-21, according to provisional un-audited figures from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
• The capital expenditure was lower than the Rs. 37,734.42 crore projected in the revised estimates for 2020-21 in the interim budget. However, it showed an increase from Rs. 25,631.58 crore spent in 2019-20.
• The Rangarajan committee had recommended incurring capital expenditure of at least ₹10,000 crore additionally in 2020-21.
• As a result of these measures taken by the Government, Tamil Nadu is expected to register a positive growth rate of 2.02 % in 2020-21. This is against an All India negative growth rate of 7.7 % in 2020-21, the interim budget had pointed out.

2. 2020-21ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ்நாட்டின் உள்கட்டமைப்பு செலவினம் 26% அதிகரித்துள்ளது

• 2019-20ஆம் நிதியாண்டோடு ஒப்பிடுகையில், 2020-21ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் உள்கட்டமைப்புக்கான தமிழ்நாட்டின் செலவினம் சுமார் 7% அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
• 2020-21ஆம் ஆண்டில் உள்கட்டமைப்புத் திட்டங்களுக்குச் செல்லும் மாநிலத்தின் மூலதனச் செலவு ரூ. 32,76 கோடி என்று தலைமைக் கணக்குத் தணிக்கையாளரின் (CAG) தற்காலிக தணிக்கை செய்யப்படாத புள்ளிவிவரங்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
• இடைக்கால பட்ஜெட்டில் 2020-21ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான திருத்தப்பட்ட மதிப்பீடுகளில் கணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ரூ.37,42 கோடியை விட மூலதனச் செலவு குறைவாகும். இருப்பினும், இது 2019-20ஆம் ஆண்டில் செலவிடப்பட்ட ரூ.25,631.58 கோடியிலிருந்து அதிகரிப்பைக் காட்டியது.
• 2020-21ஆம் ஆண்டில் குறைந்தபட்சம் ரூ.10,000 கோடி மூலதனச் செலவினம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று ரங்கராஜன் குழு பரிந்துரைத்தது.
• அரசு எடுத்துள்ள இந்த நடவடிக்கைகளின் விளைவாக, 2020-21ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ்நாடு 02% நேர்மறைவளர்ச்சி விகிதத்தை பதிவு செய்யும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இது 2020-21ஆம் ஆண்டில் அகில இந்திய எதிர்மறை வளர்ச்சி விகிதமான 7.7%க்கு எதிரானது என்று இடைக்கால பட்ஜெட் சுட்டிக்காட்டியிருந்தது.

3. Indian Navy installs medical ICU on-board on an Advanced Light Helicopter at INS Hansa

• Indian Navy installs medical ICU on-board on an Advanced Light Helicopter at Goa’s naval air station INS Hansa. The MICU has been installed on-board ALH Mk-III from INAS 323 at INS Hansa by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
• ALH Mk-III, an all-weather aircraft, being equipped with MICU, the Indian Navy can now undertake a medical evacuation of critical patients by air even in unfavourable weather conditions. The equipment can be installed in two three hours to convert the aircraft into an air ambulance.
• This is the first of eight MICU sets to be delivered by HAL to the Indian Navy.

3. இந்திய கடற்படை ஐஎன்எஸ் ஹன்சாவில் ஒரு மேம்பட்ட இலகுரக ஹெலிகாப்டரில் மருத்துவ தீவிர சிகிச்சைப் பிரிவை நிறுவுகிறது

• கோவாவின் கடற்படை விமான நிலையமான ஐஎன்எஸ் ஹன்சாவில் மேம்பட்ட இலகுரக ஹெலிகாப்டரில் இந்திய கடற்படை மருத்துவ தீவிர சிகிச்சைப் பிரிவை நிறுவுகிறது. இந்துஸ்தான் ஏரோனாட்டிக்ஸ் லிமிடெட் (HAL) ஐஎன்எஸ் ஹன்சாவில் ஐஎன்எஸ் 323 (INAS 323) இல் இருந்து ஏ.எல்.எச் எம்.கே-3 (ALH Mk-III) கப்பலில் எம்.ஐ.சி.யுவை நிறுவியுள்ளது.
• ALH Mk-III (ஏ.எல்.எச் எம்.கே-3) அனைத்து காலநிலை விமானமாகும், எம்.ஐ.சி.யு. உபகரணங்களை வைத்து ஒரு விமானத்தை ஆம்புலன்ஸாக மாற்ற இரண்டு-மூன்று மணி நேரம் போதும்.
• இந்திய கடற்படைக்கு எச்.ஏ.எல்.ஆல் வழங்கப்படும் எட்டு எம்.ஐ.சி.யு பதிப்புகளில் இதுவே முதலாகும்.

4. IFFCO develops Nano Urea

• Public sector fertiliser producer, IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative) developed Nano Urea. Nano Urea is environment friendly and cuts the input cost of the farmers by 15 percent. Apart from enriching the soil, this new product will increase yield by 15 to 20 percent.
• The country needs 350 lakh metric tonnes of urea every year. Introduction of Nano urea is said to reduce the usage of ordinary urea used now, thereby saving 600 crore rupees subsidy given by the Government. The country’s dependence on import of urea will also come down.

4. IFFCO நானோ யூரியாவை உருவாக்குகிறது

• பொதுத்துறை உர உற்பத்தியாளர், IFFCO (இந்திய விவசாயிகள் உர கூட்டமைப்பு) நானோ யூரியாவை உருவாக்கியது. நானோ யூரியா சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கு உகந்தது மற்றும் விவசாயிகளின் உள்ளீட்டு செலவை 15 சதவீதம் குறைக்கிறது. மண்ணை வளப்படுத்துவதுடன், இந்த புதிய தயாரிப்பு 15 முதல் 20 சதவீதம் வரை விளைச்சலை அதிகரிக்கும்.
• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 350 லட்சம் மெட்ரிக் டன் யூரியா நாட்டிற்கு தேவைப்படுகிறது. நானோ யூரியாவை அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் தற்போது பயன்படுத்தப்படும் சாதாரண யூரியாவின் பயன்பாடு குறையும் என்றும், இதன் மூலம் அரசு வழங்கிய 600 கோடி ரூபாய் மானியம் சேமிக்கப்படும் என்றும் கூறப்படுகிறது. யூரியா இறக்குமதியை நாடு சார்ந்திருப்பதும் குறையும்.

5. NSA Ajit Doval commissioned Indian Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel Sajag

• National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has commissioned the Indian Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel Sajag.
• Sajag has been constructed by Goa Shipyard Limited.

• தேசிய பாதுகாப்பு ஆலோசகர் (என்எஸ்ஏ) அஜித் தோவல் இந்திய கடலோர காவல்படை கடல் ரோந்து கப்பல் சஜாக்கை நாட்டுக்கு அர்பணித்துள்ளார்.
• சாஜாக் கோவா ஷிப்யார்ட் லிமிடெட் நிறுவனத்தால் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.

6. Senior Marxist Communist leader Maithili Sivaraman dies

• Maithili Sivaraman, one of the senior leaders of the Communist Party of Marxist and Vice President of the All India Democratic Women’s Association of India, died in Chennai at the age of 81.
• During 1966-69, she was in the Permanent Commission to UN.
• He wrote a long series of articles inquiring into the lower venmani tragedy in person in the village. They came out as a book called ‘Hunted by by Fire’ and are still a historical document today.

6. மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்டு மூத்த தலைவர் மைதிலி சிவராமன் மரணமடைந்தார்

• மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்டு கட்சியின் மூத்த தலைவர்களில் ஒருவரும், அக்கட்சியின் ஜனநாயக மாதர் சங்க அகில இந்திய துணைத் தலைவருமான மைதிலி சிவராமன் சென்னையில் தனது 81வது வயதில் காலமானார்.
• 1966-69 காலகட்டத்தில் ஐ.நா. சபைக்கான இந்திய நிரந்தர தூதுக்குழுவின் உதவி ஆய்வாளராக பணியாற்றினார்.
• கீழ்வெண்மணி துயரத்தை, அந்த கிராமத்திற்கே நேரில் சென்று விசாரித்து நீண்ட தொடர் கட்டுரை எழுதியவர். அவை ‘ஹண்டட் பை பையர்’ என்ற புத்தகமாக வெளிவந்து, இன்றும் வரலாற்று ஆவணமாக இருக்கிறது.

7. Pooja Rani bags gold at Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai

• Pooja Rani won the gold medal in the 75 kg Women’s category at the Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai. Pooja defeated Mavluda Movlonova of Uzbekistan 5-0 and secured India’s first gold medal at the event. She had also won the gold medal in the previous edition in 2019, but that was in the 81 kg division.
• Six-time world champion Mary Kom was defeated by 2-3 against two-time world champion Kazakhstan’s Nazym Kyzaibay in the final of the 51 kg category and settled for silver.
• Lalbuatsaihi won the silver medal after losing in 64 kg final against Kazakhstan’s Milana Safronova.
• Anupama also bagged a silver medal after losing to Kazakhstan’s Lazzat Kungeibayeva in the Women’s Heavy 81 kg 

7. துபாயில் நடைபெற்ற ஆசிய குத்துச்சண்டை சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் பூஜா ராணி தங்கம் வென்றார்

• துபாயில் நடைபெற்ற ஆசிய குத்துச்சண்டை சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் பூஜா ராணி 75 கிலோ எடைப் பிரிவில் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்றார். உஸ்பெகிஸ்தானின் மாவ்லுடா மோவ்லோனோவாவை பூஜா 5-0 என்ற கோல் கணக்கில் தோற்கடித்து இந்த போட்டியில் இந்தியாவின் முதல் தங்கப் பதக்கத்தை வென்றார். அவர் 2019ஆம் ஆண்டில் முந்தைய பதிப்பில் தங்கப் பதக்கத்தையும் வென்றிருந்தார், ஆனால் அது 81 கிலோ பிரிவில் இருந்தது.

10. Goa statehood day – 30 May

• Goa was a Portuguese colony and remained under Portuguese till it got independence in 1961.
• Initially, Goa was made a Union Territory under the Government of India. A referendum was taken to decide whether Goa should merge with Maharashtra or remain as a UT. This is the only referendum taken in independent India. The people wanted Goa to remain a UT.
• Goa, Daman, and Diu Reorganisation Act, 1987 made Goa, the 25^th state of India by separating Daman and Diu from Goa. Goa became the 25^th state of India on 30 May 1987.

10. கோவா மாநில தினம் – 30 மே

• கோவா ஒரு போர்த்துகீசிய காலனியாகும், அது 1961இல் சுதந்திரம் பெறும்வரை போர்த்துகீசியத்தின் கீழ் இருந்தது.

• கோவா, டாமன் மற்றும் டையூ மறுசீரமைப்புசட்டம், 1987, டாமன் மற்றும் டையூவை கோவாவிடமிருந்து பிரித்ததன் மூலம் இந்தியாவின் 25வது மாநிலமாக கோவாவை உருவாக்கியது. கோவா 30 மே 1987 அன்று இந்தியாவின் 25வது மாநிலமாக மாறியது.
