Age Limit – TRB PGA /PE Directors Grade – I Recruitment 2019

Maximum Age Limit: 57 years.
Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 0 1-07-2019 as the age of superannuation is 58 years.

Educational Qualification – TRB PGA /PE Directors Grade – I Recruitment 2019

Post Graduate Assistants

No persons shall be eligible for appointment to the Post graduate Assistant post unless the candidate possesses the following qualifications as per G.O.(Ms) No.70, School Education (MS) Department, Dated 12.04.2018.

(i) Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.

(or)

(ii) Post Graduate with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from NCTE recognized institution (in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course of training) Regulation (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.2007.

(or)

(iii) Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed., from any NCTE recognized institution.

The above NCTE norm is applicable with the below mentioned relevant qualification as per the communication received from Director of School Education.

Physical Education Directors

No persons shall be eligible for appointment to the Physical Education Directors Grade-I post unless the candidate possesses the following qualifications as per G.O.(Ms) No.70, School Education (MS) Department, Dated 12.04.2018.

(i) Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education and Degree in Sports with at least 55% marks as per National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2009.

(or)

(ii) At least 50% or B.P.E degree / B.P.Ed (Integrated) 4 years professional degree in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulation,2007 notified on 10.12.2007.

(or)

(iii) B.P.Ed with at least 55% or B.P.E Course (or its equivalent) of 3 years duration with at least 50% marks {in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course or training) Regulations,2002 notified on 13.11.2002 }

AND

M.P.Ed of at least 2 years duration from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.
The above NCTE norm is applicable with the below mentioned relevant qualification as per the communication received from Director of School Education.

Selection Procedure – TRB PGA /PE Directors Grade – I Recruitment 2019

The selection will be based on two successive stages viz.

Computer based examination
Certificate Verification

a) The Computer Based Examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 Each question carries one mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are as follows:

Main Subject – 110 Marks
Educational Methodology – 30 Marks
General Knowledge – 10 Marks
Total – 150 Marks

b) Medium of Examination

(i) Academic Subjects (Except Bio-Chemistry, Indian Culture, Micro Biology, and Home Science) – Tamil and English

(ii) Languages – Respective Languages

(iii) Bio-Chemistry, Indian Culture, Micro Biology, Home Science and Physical Education – English

c) Minimum Eligibility Marks:

As per G.O.Ms.No.107, School Education (Q2) Department, dated 24.07.2003 and Govt. Lr. No.12305/Q2/03-02, dated 10.2003, candidates have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the Examination. F or SC/SCA candidates, the minimum is 45% marks and for ST candidates, it is 40% marks.

How to Apply? – TRB PGA /PE Directors Grade – I Recruitment 2019

a) Candidates should apply only through online mode in the Teachers Recruitment Board website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in. The application process is entirely online. No application in paper will be accepted.

Examination fee:

a) The Examination fee is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability. For SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability Candidates, the examination fee is Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).

For SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability Candidates – Rs.250/- Only
For All others – Rs.500/-
