1. River – Link project

• The foundation stone for the first phase of the Cauvery South Vellar – Vaigai – Gundar intra – state river – link project was laid by Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswamy.
• The renovation of irrigation infrastructures under the Extension, Renovation and Modernisation of Cauvery Sub-basin Project, which is aimed at ensuring irrigation for over 4.6 lakh acres of land in Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur and Mayiladuthurai districts was also launched by him.

1. நதி – இணைப்புத் திட்டம்

• காவிரி தெற்கு வெள்ளாறு – வைகை – குண்டாறு ஆகியவற்றின் உள்மாநில நதி – இணைப்புத் திட்டத்தின் முதல் கட்டத்திற்கு தமிழக முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே.பழனிசாமி அடிக்கல் நாட்டினார்.
• தஞ்சாவூர், நாகப்பட்டினம், திருவாரூர் மற்றும் மயிலாடுதுரை மாவட்டங்களில் 4.6 லட்சம் ஏக்கர் நிலங்களுக்கு நீர்ப்பாசனம் உறுதிசெய்யும் நோக்கில், நீர்ப்பாசன உள்கட்டமைப்புகளை புதுப்பித்தலின் கீழ் காவிரி துணைப் படுகை விரிவாக்கம், புதுப்பித்தல் மற்றும் நவீனமயமாக்கல் திட்டமும் அவரால் தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது.

2. Decentralised waste Management

• The Greater Chennai Corporation is all set to start a decentralisation drive for solid waste management which will be launched by CM Edappadi K. Palaniswamy.
• The waste management projects installed so far, has the capacity to process less than 10 tonnes waste every day. And it was informed that the new Plant have capacity to process more than 100 tonnes every day.
• The Works on six bio-CNG facilities, each with a capacity of 100 tonnes, at different locations are expected to function shortly. After completion of these projects, Over 60% of city’s waste is set to be processed.

2. மையப்படுத்தப்பட்ட கழிவு மேலாண்மை

• சென்னை பெருமாநகராட்சி செயல்படுத்த உள்ள மையப்படுத்திய திடக்கழிவு மேலாண்மை திட்டத்தை முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே.பழனிசாமி அவர்கள் தொடங்கி வைக்க உள்ளார்.
• இதுவரை நிறுவப்பட்ட கழிவு மேலாண்மை திட்டங்கள், நாள் ஒன்றுக்கு 10 டன்களுக்கும் குறைவான கழிவுகளை பதப்படுத்தும் திறன் கொண்டது. தற்போது வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள புதிய ஆலை நாள் ஒன்றுக்கு 100 டன்களுக்கு மேல் பதப்படுத்தும் திறன் கொண்டது என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• மேலும் 100 டன் கொள்ளளவு கொண்ட ஆறு பயோ-சி.என்.ஜி வசதிகள் கொண்ட ஆலைகள், வெவ்வேறு இடங்களில் விரைவில் செயல்படும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த திட்டங்கள் நிறைவடைந்த பிறகு, நகரத்தின் 60% க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கழிவுகள் மறுசுழற்சி செய்யப்பட உள்ளன.

3. Breaking Gender Barriers

• The Tiruvallur district police, along with two NGOs, is organising a month long public awareness campaign called ‘Breaking Gender Barriers’ to increase awareness among children about child marriages and the importance of education.
• This campaign is aimed at stopping child marriages, preventing children from dropping out of school and increasing the enrolment rate in higher education.
• Meenakshi, ADSP, Crime Against Women and Children wing, Tiruvallur district has informed that, a total of 173 girls from tribal communities in Tiruvallur took part in events and the Competitions for art and crafts activities, role play, elocution and essays would be held at Creative Learning Centres run by the NGOs.

3. பாலின தடைகளை உடைத்தல்

• திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்ட காவல்துறை, இரண்டு தன்னார்வ தொண்டு நிறுவனங்களுடன் இணைந்து, குழந்தைத் திருமணங்கள் மற்றும் கல்வியின் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்து குழந்தைகளிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை அதிகரிப்பதற்காக ‘பாலினத் தடைகளை உடைத்தல்’ என்ற ஒரு மாத கால பொது விழிப்புணர்வு பிரச்சாரத்தை ஏற்பாடு செய்து வருகிறது.
• இந்த பிரச்சாரம் குழந்தைத் திருமணங்களை நிறுத்துதல், குழந்தைகள் பள்ளியை விட்டு வெளியேறுவதைத் தடுப்பது மற்றும் உயர் கல்வியில் சேர்க்கை விகிதத்தை அதிகரிப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு எதிரான குற்றப்பிரிவு ஏடிஎஸ்பி எம். மீனாட்சி, திருவள்ளூரில் உள்ள பழங்குடி சமூகங்களைச் சேர்ந்த 173 சிறுமிகள் நிகழ்வுகளில் பங்கேற்றதாகவும், கலை மற்றும் கைவினை, நாடகம், சொற்பொழிவு மற்றும் கட்டுரைகளுக்கான போட்டிகள் தன்னார்வ தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள் நடத்தும் கற்றல் மையங்களில் நடைபெற உள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

4. Agriculture Acts, 2020

• Agriculture Acts 2020, a book written by Justice A.K. Rajan, former judge of the Madras High Court was released by Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani.
• This book talks about the three controversial Central farm laws, which triggered massive protests by farmers in New Delhi. Justice A.K. Rajan said that the book was a concise work on the farm laws and batted for federalism.

4. வேளாண் சட்டங்கள், 2020

• மெட்ராஸ் உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் முன்னாள் நீதிபதி ஏ.கே. ராஜனால் எழுதப்பட்ட ‘வேளாண் சட்டங்கள் 2020’ என்னும் புத்தகம் திராவிடக் கழகம் தலைவர் கி.வீரமணியால் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
• இந்த புத்தகம் புதுடெல்லியில் விவசாயிகளால் பெரும் எதிர்ப்பைத் தூண்டிய, சர்ச்சைக்குரிய மூன்று மத்திய வேளாண் சட்டங்களைப் பற்றி பேசுகிறது. நீதிபதி ஏ.கே. ராஜன், இந்த புத்தகம் வேளாண் சட்டங்கள் மற்றும் கூட்டாட்சியின் விவாதம் குறித்த ஒரு சுருக்கமான படைப்பு என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

5. Fifteenth Finance commission

• In the Fifteenth Finance Commission’s report for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26, the Centre has accepted much of the Commission’s broad recommendations, including giving States a 41% share of the divisible pool of taxes and revenue deficit 17 States over the next five years.
• The Centre agreed to make grants towards urban and rural local bodies conditional upon States setting up their own finance commissions and publishing online the accounts of local bodies.
• The panel’s suggestion to set up a non-lapsable dedicated fund to support defence and internal security was also accepted by the centre.

5. பதினைந்தாவது நிதி ஆணையம்

• 2021-22 முதல் 2025-26 வரையிலான பதினைந்தாவது நிதி ஆணையத்தின் அறிக்கையில், வகுக்கக்கூடிய வரி மற்றும் வருவாய் பற்றாக்குறையில் 41% பங்கை அடுத்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் 17 மாநிலங்களுக்கு வழங்குவது உட்பட ஆணையக்குழுவின் பரிந்துரைகளில் பெரும்பாலானவற்றை மத்திய அரசு ஏற்றுக்கொண்டுள்ளது.
• நகரங்கள் மற்றும் கிராமப்புற உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளுக்கு மானியங்கள் வழங்குவது, அவற்றுக்கு நிதி ஆணையங்களை அமைத்து, உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளின் கணக்குகளை இணையத்தில் வெளியிடுவது போன்ற பரிந்துரைகளும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டன.
• பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் உள்நாட்டு பாதுகாப்பை மேம்படுத்த ஒரு வரையறையற்ற நிதியை அமைப்பதற்கான குழுவின் ஆலோசனையும் மத்திய அரசால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

6. Telengana

• Telengana was the first state to provide tap water connections to all households and the achievement was acknowledged by the Central government a few days ago.
• Now, the state has joined a group of States that has ensured tap water connections to all schools and Anganwadi centres (AWCs), done under the 100day special campaign of the Ministry of Jal Shakti under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
• Telangana was among States like Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Haryana and Tamil Nadu, which ensured tap water connections in all schools and AWC.

6. தெலுங்கானா

• அனைத்து வீடுகளுக்கும் குழாய் நீர் இணைப்புகளை வழங்கிய முதல் மாநிலமாக தெலுங்கானாவை சமீபத்தில் மத்திய அரசு அங்கீகரித்தது.

7. 1971 – Golden Jubilee Race

• The Military South Indian headquarters in Chennai conducted a 10 km marathon at Chennai theevuthidal on the theme of ‘For our Soldiers’.
• The ‘Golden Jubilee Anniversary’ race was celebrated by the Army Headquarters on the 50th anniversary of India’s victory in the 1971 war with Pakistan.

7. 1971 – பொன்விழா ஓட்டம்

• சென்னையில் உள்ள ராணுவ தென்னிந்திய தலைமையகம், சென்னை தீவுத்தடலில் ‘உங்கள் வீரர்களுக்காக’ என்ற கருப்பொருளில் 10 கிலோ மீட்டம் மாராத்தான் ஓட்டத்தை நடத்தியது.
• 1971-ம் ஆண்டு பாகிஸ்தானுடன் நடைபெற்ற போரில் இந்தியா வெற்றி பெற்றதன் 50-ஆவது ஆண்டு நிறைவு பெற்றதையடுத்து, ‘பொன்விழா ஆண்டு வெற்றி’ ஓட்டம்’ என ராணுவ தலைமையகத்தால் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

8. India – Maldives

• The Indian external affairs minister is on a two-day visit to Maldives and strengthening of military cooperation between the two countries was discussed during the visit.
• Subsequently, India and Maldives signed a defence Line of Credit agreement between India’s Exim Bank and the Finance Ministry of Maldives for cooperation in maritime security.

8. இந்தியா – மாலத்தீவு

• இந்திய வெளியுறவுத் துறை அமைச்சர் 2 நாள் பயணமாக மாலத்தீவு சென்றுள்ள நிலையில், இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையேயான ராணுவ ஒத்துழைப்பை வலுப்படுத்துவது குறித்து விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது.
• இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, கடல்சார் பாதுகாப்புக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு அளிக்கும் வகையில் இந்தியா – மாலத்தீவு  இடையே 5 கோடி டாலர் மதிப்பீட்டில், இந்தியாவின் எக்ஸிம் வங்கிக்கும், மாலத்தீவின் நிதி அமைச்சகதுக்கும் இடையில் பாதுகாப்பு ஒப்பந்தம் கையெழுத்தானது.

9. PM Farmers ( Pm-Kisan) Award

• Anantapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh has been selected for the Prime Minister’s Kisan National Award.
• A total of 5,76,972 people have been enrolled in the PM Kisan Assistance Scheme from Anantapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh and the district has been selected for pm-kisan award for completing 99.6% of the work.

9. பிரதமரின் விவசாயிகள்(பிஎம் – கிசான்) விருது

• பிரதமரின் விவசாயிகள் தேசிய விருதுக்கு ஆந்திர மாநிலம் அனந்தபுரமு மாவட்டம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• பிஎம் – கிசான் உதவி திட்டத்தில் மொத்தம் 5,76,972 பேர் ஆந்திர மாநிலம் அனந்தபுரமு மாவட்டத்தில் இருந்து இணைந்துள்ள நிலையில், பணியை 99.6% நிறைவு செய்ததற்காக பிஎம் – கிசான் விருதுக்கு அம் மாவட்டம் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

10. Tennis

• Novak Djokovic of Serbia won the title for the ninth time in the men’s singles event at the Australian Open Tennis.
• In the history of the tournament, he has been selected for the final round for 9 times in total and won the title in all the nine times.
• Roger Federer of Switzerland, lasting for 310 weeks as the top player of the world was the highest record. With this tournament’s title, Djokovic has set a new record by retaining himself as the world number one player for 311 weeks.

10. டென்னிஸ்

• ஆஸ்திரேலிய ஓபன் டென்னிஸ் போட்டியின் ஆடவர் ஒற்றையர் பிரிவில், செர்பியாவின் நோவக் ஜோகோவிச் 9-வது முறையாக சாப்பியன் பட்டம் வென்றார்.
• இந்தப் போட்டியில் இவர் இதுவரை 9 முறை இறுதி சுற்றுக்கு தேர்வாகி, 9 முறையும் சாம்பியன் பட்டம் வென்றது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• ஸ்விட்சர்லாந்தின் ரோஜர் ஃபெடரர் 310 வாரங்கள் முதல் நிலை வீரராக நீடித்ததே இதற்கு முன்பு அதிகபட்ச சாதனையாக இருந்தது. இந்த போட்டியின் வெற்றியால் ஜோகோவிச் உலகின் முதல் நிலை வீரராக 311 வாரங்கள் தன்னை தக்க வைத்துக் கொண்டதன் மூலம், புதிய சாதனையை படைத்துள்ளார்.
