1. Tvasta develops India’s first 3D printed sanitisation stations for healthcare workers

  • Tvasta, a tech startup along with Saint-Gobain, has developed India’s first 3D-printed doffing unit for healthcare workers.
  • Doffing is the process for removal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that requires proper sanitisation. The first unit was established at a government hospital in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu.

  • Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Virendra Kumar, inaugurated the 5th North-East India Traditional Fashion Week (NEIFW) 2021.
  • The event was targeted to enrich the ‘Make in India’ movement by mainstreaming divyangjan along with promoting the indigenous culture and art-forms of North-East India.

3. Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment formulates the SMILE scheme

  • Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has formulated a scheme known as “SMILE – Support for Marginalised Individuals for Livelihood and Enterprise”. It includes a sub-scheme, which is a central sector scheme for the comprehensive rehabilitation of persons engaged in begging.
  • West Bengal has the highest number of beggars, followed by Uttar Pradeshand Bihar, respectively.
  • Among the Union Territories,New Delhi has the largest number of beggars, followed by Chandigarh.

4. Vice Admiral Vinay Badhwar receives Alexander Dalrymple Award 2019

  • Vice Admiral Vinay Badhwar, Chief Hydrographer to the Government of India, received the Alexander Dalrymple Award 2019 from the British High Commissioner, Alex Ellis. The Alexander Dalrymple Award has been named after the first hydrographer of the Admiralty and was instituted in 2006.

 

4. அலெக்சாண்டர் டால்ரிம்பிள் விருது 2019ஐப் துணை அட்மிரல் வினய் பத்வார் பெற்றார்

  • இந்திய அரசின் தலைமை நீரியல் வரைவாளர் (ஹைட்ரோகிராஃபர்) துணை அட்மிரல் வினய் பத்வார், அலெக்சாண்டர் டால்ரிம்பிள் விருது 2019ஐ பிரிட்டிஷ் உயர் ஆணையர் அலெக்ஸ் எல்லிஸிடமிருந்து பெற்றார். அலெக்சாண்டர் டால்ரிம்பிள் விருது கடற்படை தலைமையகத்தினால் 2006இல் நிறுவப்பட்டது. அவ்விருது முதல் நீரியல் வரைவாளரின் பெயரால் பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

5. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flags in skiing expedition ARMEX-21 in New Delhi

  • Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged in the Indian Army Skiing Expedition, ARMEX-21 in New Delhi. The ARMEX-21 is a four-month-long tough terrain expedition conducted in the mountain ranges of the Himalayan region to promote the adventure activity in the country and the Indian Army.

 

5. புது டெல்லியில் பனிச்சறுக்கு பயணமான ஆர்மெக்ஸ்-21ஐ மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் ராஜ்நாத் சிங் கொடியசைத்து தொடங்கி வைத்தார்

  • புது தில்லியில் இந்திய ராணுவ பனிச்சறுக்கு பயணம், ஆர்மெக்ஸ்-21ஐ மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் ராஜ்நாத் சிங் கொடியசைத்து தொடங்கி வைத்தார். ஆர்மெக்ஸ்-21 என்பது இமாலயப் பகுதியின் மலைத்தொடர்களில் நடத்தப்படும் நான்கு மாத கால கடினமான நிலப்பரப்பு பயணமாகும். இது இந்தியா மற்றும் இந்திய இராணுவத்தின் சாகச நடவடிக்கைகளை பிரபலப்படுத்த நடத்தப்பட்டது.

6. India scores 90.32% in UNESCAP’s Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation 2021

  • India has scored 90.32% in United Nation’s Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific’s (UNESCAP) latest Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation 2021. This is a significant increase from 78.49% in 2019. 
  • The survey noted that India is the best-performing country when compared to countries from the South and Southwest Asia region (63.12%) and the Asia Pacific region (65.85%).

India’s significant improvement in the scores on all 5 key indicators:

  1. Transparency: 100% in 2021 (from 93.33% in 2019)
  2. Formalities: 95.83% in 2021 (from 87.5% in 2019)
  3. Institutional Arrangement and Cooperation: 88.89% in 2021 (from 66.67% in 2019)
  4. Paperless Trade: 96.3% in 2021 (from 81.48% in 2019)
  5. Cross-Border Paperless Trade: 66.67% in 2021 (from 55.56% in 2019)

Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation

  • The Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation is conducted every two years by UNESCAP. It includes an assessment of 58 trade facilitation measures covered by the World Trade Organisation’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement.

  • 2021 டிஜிட்டல் மற்றும் நிலையானவர்த்தக வசதி குறித்த ஆசிய பசிபிக் பகுதிக்கான ஐ.நா. பொருளாதார மற்றும் சமூக ஆணையம் நடத்திய உலகளாவிய ஆய்வில் இந்தியா 32 சதவீத மதிப்பெண் பெற்றுள்ளது. 2019ஆம் ஆண்டில் 78.49 சதவீதமாக இருந்த நிலையில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க முன்னேற்றம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

7. Naomi Osaka lights the Olympics cauldron in the Tokyo Olympics 2020

  • Manpreet Singh and Mary Kom led India’s Olympic contingent during the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
  • The Olympic flag was hoisted and the Olympic torch relay was used to light up the Olympic cauldron by Naomi Osaka.

 

7. நவோமி ஒசாகா டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020இல் ஒலிம்பிக் தீபம் ஏற்றினார்

  • டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020 தொடக்க விழாவில் மன்பிரீத் சிங் மற்றும் மேரி கோம் ஆகியோர் இந்தியாவின் ஒலிம்பிக் குழுவிற்கு தலைமை தாங்கினர்.
  • ஒலிம்பிக் கொடி ஏற்றப்பட்டது மற்றும் ஒலிம்பிக் தீப தொடர் ஒட்டத்தில் நவோமி ஒசாகாவால் ஒலிம்பிக் தீபம் ஏற்றப்பட்டது.

8. Indian weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu bags silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020

  • Indian weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu of Manipur won the silver medal in women’s 49 kg weightlifting in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. She won India’s first medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. She had total lifts of 202 kg, including 87 kg in Snatch and 115 kg in Clean and Jerk.
  • Karnam Malleshwari was the first Indian woman to win a medal in the Olympics. She won the bronze medal in the Sydney Olympics 2000.

 

8. இந்திய பளுதூக்கும் வீரர் சாய்கோம் மீராபாய் சானு டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020இல் வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்றார்

  • டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020இல் பெண்களுக்கான 49 கிலோ பளுதூக்குதல் பிரிவில் மணிப்பூரின் பளுதூக்கும் வீரர் சாய்கோம் மீராபாய் சானு வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்றார். அவர் டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் 2020இல் இந்தியாவின் முதல் பதக்கத்தை வென்றார். அவர் ஸ்னாட்ச்சில் 87 கிலோ மற்றும் கிளீன் அண்ட் ஜெர்க்கில் 115 கிலோ உட்பட மொத்தம் 202 கிலோ பளுதூக்கினார்.
  • ஒலிம்பிக்கில் பதக்கம் வென்ற முதல் இந்திய பெண் கர்ணம் மல்லேஸ்வரி ஆவார். அவர் 2000ஆம் ஆண்டு சிட்னி ஒலிம்பிக்கில் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்றார்.

9. Aaykar Day (Income Tax Day) – 24 July

  • Income Tax Day is observed annually by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on 24 July since 2010. This day marks the introduction of income tax for the first time in India by Sir James Wilson in 1980. This year (2021) marks the 161st anniversary of Income Tax Day.

 

9. வருமான வரி தினம் (ஆயகர் தினம்) – 24 ஜூலை

  • வருமான வரி தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் மத்திய நேரடி வரிகள் வாரியத்தால் (CBDT) 2010 ஆண்டு முதல் 24 ஜூலை அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த நாள் 1980இல் சர் ஜேம்ஸ் வில்சன் இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக வருமானவரி அறிமுகப்படுத்தியதைக் குறிக்கிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு (2021) வருமான வரி தினத்தின் 161வது ஆண்டு நிறைவைக் குறிக்கிறது.

10. 30 years of liberalisation – 23 July 2021

  • The Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was the prime architect of the historic 1991 liberalisation. 23 July 2021 marked the 30th anniversary of economic liberalisation in India.
  • LPG stands for Liberalisation, Privatisation and Globalisation, which was introduced in India to overcome the economic crisis of the 1990s.

 

10. தாராளமயமாக்கலின் 30 ஆண்டுகள் – 23 ஜூலை 2021

  • முன்னாள் இந்திய பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங் 1991ஆம் ஆண்டு வரலாற்று சிறப்புமிக்க தாராளமயமாக்கலின் முக்கிய சிற்பி ஆவார். 23 ஜூலை 2021 இந்திய பொருளாதார தாராளமயமாக்கலின் 30வது ஆண்டு நிறைவைக் குறிக்கிறது.
  • எல்பிஜி (LPG) என்பது தாராளமயமாக்கல், தனியார்மயமாக்கல் மற்றும் உலகமயமாக்கல் ஆகியவற்றைக் குறிக்கிறது. இது 1990களின் பொருளாதார நெருக்கடியை சமாளிக்க இந்தியாவில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
