The OICL AO  Examination 2017 is for 230 marks and it is for a duration of 150 minutes (including the descriptive section which is for 30 minutes). The above said one is for the generalists and for the specialists posts, the pattern goes the same with the addition of professional knowledge questions in the split up and also with the descriptive section.

Quantitative Aptitude in OICL AO Mains Examination 2017

Quantitative Aptitude section was in the moderate range and time consuming since all the questions were calculative. You can see there are 5 DI asked and they were pie chart, bar chart , caselet, tabular and one more in the mixed format. The quadratic equation and the approximation were the saviors and they were easy.

  • Seating Arrangement questions were based on Circular arrangement consisting of multiple variables and a linear seating arrangement was also asked. Puzzles were based on ages and scheduling of days to a particular person and the puzzles were in the easier range when compared to the arrangements.
  • The syllogism was in the old pattern and it was easy but time consuming since all were in the possibility type. Mostly this reasoning section will fetch more marks for the candidates if they have attended more than 30 questions.

  • The English section was in the conventional type were most of the questions were asked like in the previous exams. So this section was definitely in the easy to moderate range.
  • The para jumble was asked in two types , where both types were asked before in the previous exams. The Reading comprehension contained 4 questions from antonyms and synonyms.
