1. World Lion Day – 10 August

• Every year 10 August is celebrated as World Lions Day, with attention to raise awareness and gather support for the declining population and conservation of lions.
• Currently, lions are listed as endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List.
• The Asiatic Lion is one of the five big cats that are found in India, the other four being the Royal Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Clouded leopard and Snow Leopard.

1. உலக சிங்க தினம் – 10 ஆகஸ்ட்

• 10 ஆகஸ்ட் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் உலக சிங்க தினமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், குறைந்து வரும் சிங்கங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பிற்கு ஆதரவை சேகரிக்கவும் இந்த தினம் கவனம் செலுத்துகிறது.
• சிங்கங்கள் தற்போது, இயற்கை பாதுகாப்புக்கான சர்வதேச ஒன்றியத்தின் (IUCN) சிவப்பு பட்டியலில் அழிந்து வரும் இனமாக பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• ஆசிய சிங்கம் இந்தியாவில் காணப்படும் ஐந்து பெரிய பூனைகளில் ஒன்றாகும். மற்ற நான்கு – ராயல் பெங்கால் புலி, இந்திய சிறுத்தை, படைச்சிறுத்தை மற்றும் பனி சிறுத்தை.

2. World Biofuel Day – 10 August

• August 10 marks the World Biofuel Day, which is dedicated to raise awareness regarding unconventional sources of fuels that could work as alternatives to fossil fuels.
• The World Biofuel Day was first observed by the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas In August 2015.

2. உலக உயிரி எரிபொருள் தினம் – 10 ஆகஸ்ட்

• 10 ஆகஸ்ட் உலக உயிரி எரிபொருள் தினத்தை குறிக்கிறது. இது படிம எரிபொருள்களுக்கு மாற்றாக எரிபொருள் ஆதாரங்கள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• உலக உயிரி எரிபொருள் தினம் முதன் முதலாக ஆகஸ்டு 15இல் பெட்ரோலியம் மற்றும் எரிவாயு அமைச்சகத்தால் அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது.

TAMIL NADU

3. A Second terracotta ring well was found at Agaram

• A second terracotta ringwell was found at Agaram, 6 km from the main Keeladi site, by the Tamil Nadu State Department of Archaeology.
• With a diameter of 84 cm, the 5­ cm thick rim of the ring well was unearthed. It was found at a depth of 125 cm below the lime deposit in the western part of the quadrant. 
• In July 2021, the firstring well was found at a depth of 146 cm and at a distance of 8 metres from the present one. 
• Both the ring wells are similarto the ones excavated at Keeladi and belong to the early historical phase of the Sangam Era, according to Director of Excavations R. Sivanandam. 

3. இரண்டாவது சுடுமண்ணிலான உறைகிணறு அகரத்தில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

• இரண்டாவது சுடுமண் உறைகிணறு ஒன்று கீழடியிலிருந்து 6 கி.மீ தொலைவில் உள்ள அகரத்தில், தமிழ்நாடு தொல்லியல் துறையால் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• 84 செ.மீ விட்டம் கொண்ட, வளையக் கிணற்றின் 5 செ.மீ தடிமன் கொண்ட விளிம்பு கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது. இது குவாட்ரண்டின் மேற்கு பகுதியில் சுண்ணாம்பு வைப்புக்கு கீழே 125 செ.மீ ஆழத்தில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
• ஜூலை 2021இல், முதல் உறைகிணறு 146 செ.மீ ஆழத்திலும், தற்போதைய வளையத்திலிருந்து 8 மீட்டர் தூரத்திலும் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
• இந்த இரண்டு உறைகிணறுகளும் கீழடியில் அகழ்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட கிணறுகளைப் போலவே உள்ளன. அவை சங்க காலத்தின் ஆரம்ப கால வரலாற்றுக் கட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவை என்று அகழ்வாராய்ச்சி இயக்குநர் ஆர். சிவானந்தம் தெரிவித்தார்.

4. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu releases a postage stamp on Mananiya Chaman Lal

• Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India, released a Commemorative postage stamp on ‘Mananiya Chaman Lal’.
• This a Commemorative postage stamp highlights the life and work of Mananiya Chaman Lal, a renowned social worker, and Sangh Pracharak.
• Born on 25 March 1920 in Sialkot (now in Pakistan), Mananiya Chaman Lal, from a young age, was enthused to work for the welfare of people.

4. மனனியா சாமன் லால் குறித்த அஞ்சல் தலையை குடியரசுத் துணைத் தலைவர் வெங்கையா நாயுடு வெளியிட்டார்

• குடியரசுத் துணைத் தலைவர் வெங்கையா நாயுடு ‘மனனியா சாமன் லால்‘ நினைவு அஞ்சல் தலையை வெளியிட்டார்.
• இந்த நினைவு அஞ்சல் தலை, புகழ்பெற்ற சமூக சேவகர் மனனியா சாமன் லாலின் வாழ்க்கை மற்றும் பணியை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது.
• 25 மார்ச் 1920 அன்று சியால்கோட்டில் (இப்போது பாகிஸ்தானில்) பிறந்த மனனியா சாமன் லால் இளம் வயதிலிருந்தே மக்கள் நலனுக்காக பணியாற்ற உற்சாகமாக இருந்தார்.

5. Chief of the Air Staff visists Air Force Central Accounts Office for its Platinum Jubilee Celebration of

• Air Chief Marshal K. S. Bhadauria, Chief of the Air Staff of India (CAS) visited Air Force Central Accounts Office (AFCAO) on 9 August 2021to commemorate its platinum jubilee year.
• To mark this occasion, a ‘Special Day Cover’ was released in coordination with Army Postal Service. 
• AFCAO has its origins as the ‘Royal Accts Base’ and was formed in 1945 at Bombay. It moved to Madras in 1946 and thereafter to New Delhi in 1947. 

5. இந்திய விமானப்படை தளபதி விமானப்படை மத்திய கணக்கு அலுவலகத்தின் பவள விழா கொண்டாட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டார்

• இந்திய விமானப்படை தளபதி விமானப்படை தலைமை மார்ஷல் ஆர்.கே.எஸ். படௌரியா விமானப்படை மத்திய கணக்கு அலுவலகத்தின் விமானப்படையின் பவள விழா ஆண்டு கொண்டாட்டத்தை ஒட்டி 9 ஆகஸ்ட் 2021 அன்று வருகை தந்தார்.
• இந்த நிகழ்வைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில், இராணுவ அஞ்சல் சேவையுடன் இணைந்து ஒரு ‘ஸ்பெஷல் டே கவர்’ (‘Special Day Cover’) வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
• விமானப்படை மத்திய கணக்கு அலுவலகம் (AFCAO) அதன் தோற்றத்தை ‘ராயல் அக்ட்ஸ் பேஸ்‘ ஆகக் கொண்டு 1945இல் பம்பாயில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இது 1946ல் மெட்ராஸுக்கும் அதன் பின்னர் 1947இல் புது தில்லிக்கும் மாற்றப்பட்டது.

6. Indian Army contingent is set to participate in the International Army Games 2021 in Russia

• A 101 member contingent of the Indian Army will advance to Russia to participate in the International Army Games 2021 from 22 August to 4 September 2021.
• Previously, India stood first amongst the eight countries that had participated in Army Scouts Master Competition 2019 in Jaisalmer.

6. ரஷ்யாவில் நடைபெறவுள்ள சர்வதேச ராணுவ விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகள் 2021இல் இந்திய ராணுவப் படைப்பிரிவு பங்கேற்க உள்ளது

• 22 ஆகஸ்ட் முதல் 4 செப்டம்பர் 2021 வரை நடைபெற உள்ள சர்வதேச ராணுவ விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்க இந்திய ராணுவத்தின் 101 பேர் கொண்ட குழு ரஷ்யாவுக்குச் செல்லும்.
• முன்னதாக ஜெய்சால்மரில் நடைபெற்ற ராணுவ சாரணர் மாஸ்டர் போட்டி 2019இல் பங்கேற்ற எட்டு நாடுகளில் இந்தியா முதலிடம் பெற்றது.

7. Two new Khadi’s new products launched by Government

• Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, launched two new products of Khadi babywear and handmade paper ‘Use and Throw’ slippers.
• Khadi handmade paper ‘Use and Throw’ slippers have been developed for the first time in India.
• KVIC has introduced Khadi Babywear for the first time for the age group of new-born and up to 2 years.

7. இரண்டு புதிய கதர் தயாரிப்புகள் KVICஆல் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டன

• மத்திய குறு, சிறு மற்றும் நடுத்தர தொழில் அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் உள்ள கதர் மற்றும் கிராமத் தொழில் ஆணையம் (KVIC), கதரால் ஆன குழந்தைகளுக்கான ஆடைகள் மற்றும் கையால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட காகிதத்தால் ஆன ‘ஒருமுறை பயன்படுத்தி தூக்கி வீசப்படும்‘ (‘Use and Throw’) காலணி ஆகிய இரண்டு புதிய தயாரிப்புகளை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.
• கதரால் ஆன கையால் செய்யப்பட்ட காகித ‘ஒருமுறை பயன்படுத்தி தூக்கி வீசப்படும்‘ (‘Use and Throw’) காலணி இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• கதர் மற்றும் கிராமத் தொழில் ஆணையம் (KVIC), குழந்தைகளுக்கான ஆடைகளை முதல் முறையாக அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ள இதை பச்சிளம் குழந்தை முதல் 2 வயதுடைய குழந்தைகள் வரை பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches Ujjwala 2.0

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched Ujjwala 2.0 (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana – PMUY) by handing over liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) connections at Mahoba district in Uttar Pradesh via video-conferencing.
• Ujjwala 2.0 will provide a first refill and portable stove free of cost to the beneficiaries. Also, the enrollment procedure will require minimal paperwork.
• In Ujjwala 2.0, migrants will not be required to submit ration cards or address proof. A self-declaration for both ‘family declaration’ and as a ‘proof of address’ will suffice.

8. உஜ்வாலா 2.0ஐ பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தொடங்கி வைத்தார்

• பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி, உஜ்வாலா0 (பிரதம மந்திரி உஜ்வாலா யோஜனா – PMUY) எல்பிஜி (LPG) இணைப்புகளை உத்தரப் பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள மஹோபாவில் காணொளி மூலம் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
• உஜ்வாலா0 பயனாளிகளுக்கு முதல் ரீஃபில் மற்றும் அடுப்பை இலவசமாக வழங்கும். மேலும், சேர்க்கை நடைமுறைக்கு குறைந்தபட்ச காகித வேலையே தேவைப்படும்.
• உஜ்வாலா0இல், புலம் பெயர்ந்தவர்கள் குடும்ப அட்டைகளை சமர்ப்பிக்கவோ அல்லது முகவரி ஆதாரத்தை சமர்ப்பிக்கவோ தேவையில்லை. ‘குடும்ப பிரகடனம்’ மற்றும் ‘முகவரியின் ஆதாரம்’ இரண்டிற்கும் ஒரு சுய பிரகடனம் போதுமானது.

9. Karnataka becomes the first state to issue an order implementing National Education Policy NEP-2020

• Karnataka issued an order on the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 with effect from the current academic year 2021-2022.
• Karnataka has become the first state in the country to issue the order with regard to the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.

9. தேசிய கல்விக் கொள்கை -2020 ஐ அமுல்படுத்தும் உத்தரவை பிறப்பித்த முதல் மாநிலமாக கர்நாடகா மாறியுள்ளது

• நடப்பு கல்வி ஆண்டு 2021-2022இல், முதல் தேசிய கல்விக் கொள்கை 2020ஐ அமல்படுத்துவது குறித்து கர்நாடகம் உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்துள்ளது.
• தேசிய கல்விக் கொள்கை 2020ஐ அமல்படுத்துவது தொடர்பாக இந்த உத்தரவை பிறப்பித்த முதல் மாநிலமாக கர்நாடகா மாறியது.

10. Indian Railways launches Rail Madad

• To reduce the hassle in finding a solution to passenger problems the Indian Railways launched an integrated one-stop solution – Rail Madad.
• With this, the Indian Railways has merged several existing helplines into a single platform for grievances.
• Rail Madad can be accessed through the web, app, SMS, social media and Helpline number (139) during a journey for expeditious resolution of complaints.

10. இந்திய ரயில்வே ரயில் மதாத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது

• பயணிகள் பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு தீர்வு காண்பதற்காக இந்திய ரயில்வே ஒருங்கிணைந்த ஒரே தீர்வான – ரயில் மதாத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
• இதன் மூலம், தேசிய போக்குவரத்து நிறுவனம் ஏற்கனவே உபயோகத்திலுள்ள உள்ள பல உதவிஎண்களை ஒரே இடத்தில் இணைத்துள்ளது.
• பயணத்தின் போது புகார்களை விரைவாகத் தீர்ப்பதற்காக இணையம், செயலி, குறுஞ்செய்தி, சமூக ஊடகம் மற்றும் உதவி எண் (139) மூலம் ரயில் மதாதை அணுகலாம்.
