1. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur launches nationwide Fit India Freedom Runs 2.0

  • Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur launched the nationwide programme of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi.
  • The programme is being organised throughout the country, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
  • Through this campaign, citizens will be given a call to make a resolve to include physical activity of at least 30 minutes daily in their lives. (Fitness Ki Dose- Aadha Ghanta Roz).

 

1. இளைஞர் விவகாரங்கள் மற்றும் விளையாட்டுத் துறை அமைச்சர் அனுராக் தாக்கூர் நாடு முழுவதும் ஃபிட் இந்தியா ஃப்ரீடம் ரன் 2.0 ஐத் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

  • இளைஞர் விவகாரங்கள் மற்றும் விளையாட்டுத்துறை அமைச்சர் அனுராக் சிங் தாக்கூர் புது தில்லியில் உள்ள மேஜர் தியான் சந்த் தேசிய விளையாட்டு மைதானத்தில் இருந்து ஃபிட் இந்தியா ஃப்ரீடம் ரன்கள்0 என்ற தேசிய அளவிலான திட்டத்தை தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

2. India achieves 100 GW Milestone of Installed Renewable Energy Capacity

  • The total installed renewable energy capacity in India, excluding large hydro electric, has crossed the milestone of 100 GW.

Now, India stands at

  • 4th position in the world in terms of installed RE capacity
  • 5th in solar and
  • 4th in wind in terms of installed capacity
  • India has also enhanced its ambition to install 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

 

2. 100 GW நிறுவப்பட்ட புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றல் திறன் மைல்கல்லை இந்தியா அடைந்துள்ளது

  • பெரிய நீர்நிலையங்கள் தவிர, இந்தியாவில் நிறுவப்பட்ட புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றல் திறன், 100 ஜிகாவாட் என்ற மைல்கல்லைத் தாண்டியுள்ளது.

தற்போது இந்தியா

  • நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ள புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க எரிசக்தித்திறனின் அடிப்படையில் உலகின் 4வது இடமும்
  • சூரிய மின் ஆற்றல் சக்தியில் 5வது இடமும்
  • காற்றாலை நிறுவப்பட்ட திறன் அடிப்படையில் 4வது இடத்தையும் பெற்றுள்ளது
  • 2030ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் 450 ஜிகாவாட் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க எரிசக்தி திறனை நிறுவவேண்டும் என்ற தனது லட்சியத்தையும் இந்தியா மேம்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

3. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Fit India Freedom Run being organised in Madhya Pradesh

  • As part of celebrations under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Fit India Freedom Run is being organised in Madhya Pradesh.
  • State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra R N Tyagi informed that in Madhya Pradesh, Fit India Freedom Run is being organised jointly by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYK) and National Service Scheme under the theme ‘Jan Bhagidari se Jan Andolan’.
  • Fit India Freedom run is being organised in 75 identified places of all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The event will also witness the participation of youth icons, sportspersons, public representatives, Panchayati Raj representatives and eminent personalities of the state.

 

3. ஆசாதி கா அம்ரித் மஹோத்ஸவ்: மத்திய பிரதேசத்தில் ஃபிட் இந்தியா ஃப்ரீடம் ரன் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது

  • ‘ஆசாதி கா அம்ரித் மஹோத்ஸவ்’ விழாவின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, மத்திய பிரதேசத்தில் ஃபிட் இந்தியா ஃப்ரீடம் ரன் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
  • நேரு யுவ கேந்திராவின் மாநில இயக்குநர் ஆர். என். தியாகி, மத்திய பிரதேசத்தில் ஃபிட் இந்தியா ஃப்ரீடம் ரன் நேரு யுவ கேந்திரா சங்கதன் (என்ஒய்கே) மற்றும் தேசிய சேவைத் திட்டம் இணைந்து ‘ஜன் பகிடாரி சே ஜன் அந்தோலன்’ என்ற தலைப்பில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தெரிவித்தார்.
  • மத்தியப் பிரதேசத்தின் 52 மாவட்டங்களில் 75 அடையாளம் காணப்பட்ட இடங்களில் ஃபிட் இந்தியா ஃப்ரீடம் ரன் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

4. India@75 is a declaration for a new India with new dreams, new energy and new commitment

  • Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal virtually addressed the Confederation of Indian Industry’s annual summit’s special session on ‘Synergy between the Government and Business for sustainable growth’. 
  • The Theme of this year’s Annual Meeting is ‘India@75: Government and Business Working Together for Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

5. Air India airlifts 63 rare turtles from Pune to Assam

  • National carrier Air India flew as many as 63 rare species od turtles from Maharashtra’s Pune to Assam via Delhi.
  • These turtles belonged to endangered species like Indian roof turtle, crowned river turtle, brown roof turtle and spotted river terrapin that are found in Assam. They were rescued by the Maharashtra Forest Department and the Turtle Survival Alliance.
  • This is the first time an endangered and a rare species of turtles has been sent via airways for release into their natural habitat in Assam.

 

5. ஏர் இந்தியா புனேவிலிருந்து அசாமிற்கு 63 அரிய ஆமைகளை ஏற்றிச் சென்றது

  • தேசிய விமான நிறுவனமான ஏர் இந்தியா, மகாராஷ்டிராவின் புனேவில் இருந்து டெல்லி வழியாக அசாமிற்கு 63 அரிய வகை ஆமைகளை ஏற்றிச் சென்றது.
  • இந்த ஆமைகள் அஸ்ஸாமில் காணப்படும் இந்திய கூரை ஆமை, மகுடம் சூட்டப்பட்ட ஆமை, பழுப்பு கூரை ஆமை மற்றும் புள்ளிகள் கொண்ட ஆற்று நிலப்பரப்பு ஆமை போன்ற அழிவுநிலையில் உள்ள உயிரினங்களைச் சேர்ந்தவை. அவை மகாராஷ்டிரா வனத்துறை மற்றும் ‘ஆமைகள் உயிர்வாழும் கூட்டணி’ மூலம் மீட்கப்பட்டது.
  • அழிந்து வரும் மற்றும் அரிய வகை ஆமைகள் அசாமில் உள்ள இயற்கை வாழ்விடங்களுக்கு விடுவிப்பதற்காக விமானப் பாதைகள் வழியாக அனுப்பப்படுவது இதுவே முதல் முறை என்று வன துணை பாதுகாவலர் (புனே பிரிவு) ராகுல் பாட்டீல் செய்தி நிறுவனத்திடம் கூறினார்.

6. Plastic Waste Management Rules

  • Government notifies plastic waste management amendment rules 2021 prohibiting identified single-use plastic items by 2022.
  • Pollution due to single-use plastic items has become major environmental challenge.
  • The manufacturing, import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of several single-use plastics will be prohibited with effect from 1 July of 2022. 
  • The thickness of plastic carry bags will be increased from fifty microns to seventy-five microns with effect from 30 September of 2021 and to 120 microns with effect from the 31 December 2021.
  • India is committed to taking action for the mitigation of pollution caused by littered single-use plastics. The waste management infrastructure in the States and Union Territories is being strengthened through the Swachh Bharat Mission. 

 

6. பிளாஸ்டிக் கழிவு மேலாண்மை விதிகள்

  • பிளாஸ்டிக் கழிவு மேலாண்மை திருத்தம் விதிகள் 2021 இன் படி 2022 க்குள் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்ட ஒருமுறை பயன்படுத்தும் பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருட்களை இந்திய அரசாங்கம், தடை செய்கிறது.
  • ஒருமுறை பயன்படுத்தும் பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருட்களால் ஏற்படும் மாசு, பெரும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் சவாலாக மாறியுள்ளது.
  • 1 ஜூலை 2022 முதல் பல முறை பயன்படுத்தக்கூடிய பிளாஸ்டிக்கின் உற்பத்தி, இறக்குமதி, இருப்பு, விநியோகம், விற்பனை மற்றும் பயன்பாடு தடைசெய்யப்படும். 
  • பிளாஸ்டிக் கேரி பைகளின் தடிமன் 2021 செப்டம்பர் 30 முதல் ஐம்பது மைக்ரானிலிருந்து எழுபத்தைந்து மைக்ரானுக்கு அதிகரிக்கப்படும். 31 டிசம்பர் 2021 முதல் 120 மைக்ரான்களாக உயர்த்தப்படும்.
  • ஒருமுறை பயன்படுத்தும் பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருட்களால் ஏற்படும் மாசுபாட்டைக் குறைக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க இந்தியா உறுதி பூண்டுள்ளது. மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களில் உள்ள கழிவு மேலாண்மை உள்கட்டமைப்பு ஸ்வச் பாரத் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் வலுப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. 

7. I&B Ministry curates series of innovative programmes to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

  • Information and Broadcasting Ministry has curated a series of innovative programmes to celebrate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav under the overall spirit of Janbhagidari and Jan Andolan. 
  • The objective is to ensure the involvement of the people in recalling the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism in the journey towards a new India.
  • All India Radio will be launching a unique innovative programme, Azadi Ka Safar Akashvani Ke Saath on national as well as regional channels from 16 August 2021.

TAMILNADU NEWS

8. Brick Canal structure found at Porpanai Kottai Excavation

  • A fort wall and moat with a circumference of 2 km was found at Porpanai Kottai in Pudukottai district. Also,there are structures on the wall like sites for bastions.
  • Excavation work is in progress at 5 places, 8 metres long and wide. A brick structure has now been found at a depth of one and a half feet in a pit in the southwest direction.
  • Archaeologists predict, that it may be a canal for discharge of water.

 

8. பொற்பனைக்கோட்டை அகழாய்வில் செங்கல் கால்வாய் கட்டுமானம்

  • புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்டம் பொற்பனைக்கோட்டையில் 2 கி.மீ சுற்றளவில் கோட்டைச் சுவரும், அக்ழியும் உள்ளன. இங்கு உள்ள சுவரின் மீது கொத்தளங்கள் இருந்ததற்கான கட்டுமானங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன.
  • 8 மீட்டர் நீள அகலத்தில் 5 இடங்களில் அகழாய்வுப் பணி நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. தற்போது தென்மேற்கு திசையில் உள்ள ஒரு குழியில் ஒன்றரை அடி ஆழத்தில் செங்கல் கட்டுமானம் இருப்பது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இது நீரை வெளியேற்றுவதற்கான கால்வாயாக இருக்கலாம் என தொல்லியல் ஆய்வாளர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்.

9. Godrej Group Chairman and veteran industrialist Adi Godrej will step down from the board of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL).

  • Nadir Godrej, who is currently the Managing Director of Godrej Industries Limited (GIL), will take over as Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

10. International Left-Handers Day celebrated on 13 August

  • The International Left-Handers Day is celebrated every year on August 13.
  • It is to celebrate the differences and uniqueness of the left-handers in the predominantly right-handed world.

  • International Left-Handers Day was created to showcase the ‘sinistrality’ or left-handedness and to spotlight their advantages and disadvantages.
