FEBRUARY 9 CURRENT AFFAIRS

1. The fifth Tiger reserve in Tamilnadu:

• The Forest Secretary, Sandeep Saxena announced the creation of The Srivilliputhur-Megamalai-Tiger Reserve.
• It is the Fifth Tiger reserve in Tamilnadu.
• The tiger reserve is created by the combination of Grizzled Squirrel Wildlife Sanctuary, Srivilliputhur and the Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary.
• With the creation of the new tiger reserve the Vaigai river and its surroundings will be protected.

1. தமிழ்நாட்டின் ஐந்தாவது புலிகள் காப்பகம்:

• ஸ்ரீவில்லிபுத்தூர்-மேகமலை புலிகள் காப்பகம் உருவாக்கப்படும் என வனத்துறை செயலாளர் சந்தீப் சக்சேனா அறிவித்தார்.
• இது தமிழ்நாட்டின் ஐந்தாவது புலிகள் காப்பகமாகும்.
• சாம்பல் அணில்கள் சரணாலயம், ஸ்ரீவில்லிப்புத்தூர் மற்றும் மேகமலை வனவிலங்கு சரணாலயம் ஆகியவற்றின் இணைப்பின் மூலம் புலிகள் காப்பகமாக உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• புதிய புலிப் காப்பகம் மூலம் வைகை ஆறு மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுவட்டாரங்கள் பாதுகாக்கப்படும்.

2. New brake system by IIT-M team:

• The researchers of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras have developed a new brake system for electric vehicles that makes the ride very comfortable in heavy commercial vehicles.
• This research was headed by C.S. Shankar Ram of the Department of Engineering design and his Ph.D student V.S. Kesavan also worked for this .
• At present two braking are being used,
• Friction based braking system
• Regenerative braking system
• In this new braking system, both the Friction and Regenerative braking system are being implemented for the energy conservation and stopping the vehicles within reasonable distance.

2. ஐ.ஐ.டி-எம்(IIT-M)குழுவின் புதிய பிரேக் அமைப்பு:

• மெட்ராஸின், இந்திய தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனத்தின், ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் மின்சார வாகனங்களுக்கான புதிய பிரேக் முறையை உருவாக்கியுள்ளன, இதனால் கனரக வணிக வாகனங்களில் பயணம் மிகவும் வசதியாக இருக்கும்.
• இந்த ஆராய்ச்சிக்கு பொறியியல் துறையைச் சேர்ந்த C.S.சங்கர் ராம் தலைமை வகித்தார். முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்ற மாணவர் V.S. கேசவன் இவருடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றினார்.
• தற்போது இரண்டு பிரேக்கிங் முறைகள் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது,
• உராய்வு அடிப்படையிலான பிரேக்கிங் முறை
• மீளுருவாக்கம் பிரேக்கிங் முறை
• இந்த புதிய பிரேக்கிங் முறையில், எரிபொருள் சேமிப்பு மற்றும் வாகனங்களை சரியான தூரத்திற்குள் நிறுத்துவதற்காக உராய்வு மற்றும் மீளுருவாக்கம் பிரேக்கிங் சிஸ்டம் ஆகிய இரண்டும் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.

3. Women Entrepreneurs Awarded:

• The Working Women’s Forum India honoured nine women from the Tamilnadu, Andhra, and Karnataka on the 89^th birth anniversary of its founder Jaya Arunachalam.
• Nandini Azad is the president of the Working Women Forum.

• உழைக்கும் மகளிர் மன்றம் இந்தியா, அதன் நிறுவனரான ஜெயா அருணாச்சலத்தின் 89வது பிறந்த நாளில் தமிழகம், ஆந்திரா மற்றும் கர்நாடகா ஆகிய மாநிலங்களிலிருந்து ஒன்பது பெண்களுக்கு மரியாதை செய்தது.

4. Telangana implemented Reservation for EWS:

• The Telangana government will now onwards implement 10 % reservation for the Economically weaker section.
• It gives reservation for the higher educational institutions that includes private institutions other than the minority educational institutions, says the Chief secretary Somesh Kumar.

4. தெலுங்கானாவில் பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கியவர் இடஒதுக்கீட்டை அமல்படுத்தியது:

• தெலுங்கானா அரசு பொருளாதாரத்தில் பிந்தங்கிய பிரிவினருக்கு 10% இட ஒதுக்கீட்டை அமல்படுத்தும்.
• சிறுபான்மை கல்வி நிறுவனங்களைத் தவிர தனியார் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களை உள்ளடக்கிய உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுக்கு இது இட ஒதுக்கீடு அளிக்கிறது என்று தலைமைச் செயலாளர் சோமேஷ் குமார் தெரிவித்தார்.

5. Anti-Cow slaughter bill passed:

• The Karnataka government passed the Anti-Cow slaughter bill.
• The Karnataka prevention of Slaughter and preservation of cattle Bill, 2020 was passed by voice vote in the Legislative council.

5. பசுவதை தடுப்பு மசோதா நிறைவேறியது:

• பசுவதை தடுப்பு மசோதாவை கர்நாடக அரசு நிறைவேற்றியது.
• கர்நாடக அரசு, கால்நடை பராமரிப்பு மசோதா, 2020 சட்டசபையில், குரல் ஓட்டெடுப்பு மூலம் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது.

6. Rishabh Pant wins the award:

• India’s extravagant wicketkeeper- batsman Rishabh pant won the ICC’s inaugural player of the month award.
• The South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail was named as the ICC’s Women player of the month.

6. ரிஷப் பந்த் விருதை வென்றார்:

• இந்தியாவின் தலைசிறந்த விக்கெட் கீப்பர் மற்றும் பேட்ஸ்மேனான ரிஷப் பந்த் இந்த மாத ஐசிசியின் தொடக்க ஆட்டக்காரருக்கான விருதை வென்றார்.
• இந்த மாத ஐசிசியின் மகளிர் ஆட்டக்காரராக தென் ஆப்பிரிக்காவின் ஷப்னிம் இஸ்மாயில் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.

7. Introduction of the Electronic Line Judges:

• The introduction of Electronic Line Judges at the Australian Open could reduce the argument of tennis player whether the ball are in or out.
• The pandemic has now replaced the human Judges with the ball-tracking cameras to reduce the number of people on site, this will automatically announce their decisions in real time.
• This innovation has been welcomed by other leading players.

7. மின்னணு வரி நடுவர் அறிமுகம்:

• ஆஸ்திரேலிய ஓபனில் மின்னணு வரி நடுவர் அறிமுகப்படுத்துவது பந்து உள்ளே இருக்கிறதா அல்லது வெளியே இருக்கிறதா என்ற வாதத்தை டென்னிஸ் வீரர்களுக்கு இடையே குறைக்கக்கூடும்.
• பெரும் பரவல் காரணமாக இப்போது தளத்தில் மக்கள் எண்ணிக்கை குறைக்க பந்து கண்காணிப்பு புகைப்பட கருவி மனித நடுவருக்கு பதிலாக, இந்த தானியங்கி முறையில் சற்று நேரத்தில் தங்கள் முடிவுகளை அறிவிக்கும்.
• இந்த புதிய கண்டுபிடிப்பு முறையை மற்ற முன்னணி வீரர்கள் வரவேற்றுள்ளனர்.

8. ‘NEET’ Exam-Twice a year:

• The Ministry of Health has approved to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) twice a year.
• Students can choose the highest score among the two exam scores as per the JEE exam procedure.

8. ஆண்டுக்கு இரு முறை ‘நீட்’ தேர்வு:

• இளநிலை மருத்துவ (MBBS) படிப்புகளுக்கான தேசிய நுழைவு மற்றும் தகுதி ’நீட்’ தேர்வுகளை நிகழாண்டு முதல் வருடத்திற்கு இருமுறை நடத்த மத்திய சுகாதாரத் துறை அமைச்சகம் ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
• ஜே.இ.இ தேர்வின் நடைமுறை போல இரண்டு தேர்வின் மதிப்பெண்களில் அதிக மதிப்பெண்ணை மாணவர்கள் தெரிவு செய்து கொள்ளலாம்.

9. Devaneya Pavanar Birth Anniversary:

• The birthday of Tamil scholar Devaneya Pavanar (February 8) was celebrated at the Directorate of Tamil Etymological Dictionary Project in Chennai.
• It is to be noted that Devanaya Pavanar compiled Agara Mudali (Tamil Dictionary) in Tamil.

9. தேவநேயப் பாவாணர் பிறந்த நாள் விழா:

• தமிழறிஞர் தேவநேயப் பாவாணர் பிறந்த நாள் (பிப்ரவரி 8) விழா சென்னை அகர முதலி திட்ட இயக்ககத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.
• தேவநேயப் பாவாணர் தமிழில் அகர முதலியை தொகுத்து வழங்கியவர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

10. Nemilichery to Minjur six-lane Road:

• CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami inaugurated the six-lane road from Nemilichery to Minjur, Phase-II of the Chennai Outer Ring Road (CORR) through video conferencing.

• சென்னை வெளி வட்டச் சாலையின் இரண்டாம் கட்டமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நெமிலிச்சேரி முதல் மீஞ்சூர் வரையிலான ஆறு வழித்தட பிரதான சாலையை முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே. பழனிசாமி காணொலிக் காட்சி மூலம் திறந்து வைத்தார்.

11. Indo-US Joint Military Exercise:

• The 16th Indo-US Joint Military Exercise “Yudh Abhyas” began at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in the western part of Rajasthan.
• The exercise will feature a number of aerial platforms, including the newly inducted Advance Light Helicopter WSI ‘RUDRA’, MI-17, Stryker vehicles.

11. இந்தியா-அமெரிக்கா கூட்டு ராணுவப் பயிற்சி:

• ராஜஸ்தான் மாநில மேற்கு பகுதியில் உள்ள மகாஜன் துப்பாக்கி சுடும் களத்தில் 16-வது இந்திய அமெரிக்க கூட்டு ராணுவப் பயிற்சி “யூத் அபியாஸ்” தொடங்கியது.
• இப்பயிற்சியில் புதிதாக ராணுவத்தில் சேர்க்கப்பட்ட இலகுரக ஹெலிகாப்டர் டபிள்யுஎஸ்ஐ ருத்ரா, எம்ஐ-17, ஸ்ட்ரைக்கர் உள்பட பல வான்வழித் தாக்குதல் வாகனங்கள் இடம்பெறுகிறது.

12. Oxford vaccination program halted in South Africa:

• The South African Health Ministry suspends the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccination program.
• The South African government has taken this decision following a low efficacy against mild and moderate disease around the world.
• The vaccine is produced by the Serum Institute of India, an Indian pharmaceutical company to South Africa.

12. தென் ஆப்பிரிக்காவில் ஆக்ஸ்ஃபோர்டு தடுப்பூசி திட்டம் நிறுத்தம்:

• தென் ஆப்பிரிக்க சுகாதாரத் துறை அமைச்சகம் ஆக்ஸ்ஃபோர்டு -அஸ்ட்ரா ஸெனகா தடுப்பூசித் திட்டத்தை நிறுத்தி வைப்பதாக அறிவித்த்துள்ளது.
• உலக அளவில் அதன் செயல் திறன் குறித்து சந்தேகம் எழுந்ததை தொடர்ந்து தென் ஆப்பிரிக்க அரசு இந்த முடிவை எடுத்துள்ளது.
• இந்த தடுப்பூசியை இந்திய மருந்து தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனமான சீரம் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட் தென் ஆப்பிரிக்காவுக்கு வழங்கியுள்ளது.

13. 300 wicket milestone – Ishant Sharma:

• Ishant Sharma is the sixth Indian bowler in the list for taking 300 wickets Test cricket series.
• He is also the third in the fast bowler category following Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan.

• டெஸ்ட் கிரிக்கெட் தொடரில் 300 விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்தியதன் வரிசையில் 6- வது ஆளாக இந்திய வீரர் இஷாந்த் சர்மா இணைந்துள்ளார்.
• வேகப்பந்து வீச்சாளர்கள் வரிசையில் கபில் தேவ் மற்றும் ஜாஹிர் கான்-ஐ தொடர்ந்து 3-வது ஆளாக இந்த இலக்கை எட்டியுள்ளார்.

14. Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Amendment Bill:

• Rajya sabha passed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Amendment bill, by this allocation of All India Services Officers for the UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh shall be made to Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union territories cadre.

14. ஜம்மு-காஷ்மீர் மறுசீரமைப்பு சட்டத் திருத்த மசோதா:

• ஜம்மு-காஷ்மீர் குடிமைப்பணிகளை அருணாச்சல பிரதேசம், கோவா, மிசோரம் மற்றும் பிற யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களுடன் இணைப்பதற்கான ஜம்மு-காஷ்மீர் மறுசீரமைப்பு சட்டத் திருத்த மசோதாவை மாநிலங்களவை நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளது.
