1. Tamil Nadu Government forms N. Sunderadevan Committee to revive MSME sector

• Tamil Nadu Government has formed a 12-member committee under former Industries Secretary Sunderadevan to revive MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector. The committee has also been asked to suggest measures to promote industrial growth in the backward regions of Tamil Nadu.
• The committee also includes Secretary-in-Charge of the Finance Department, Secretary-in-Charge of the Industries Department, Secretary-in-Charge of the MSME Department, Industries Commissioner (Member Convener) and Chairman of the State Level Bankers Committee as the ex-officio members.

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Stalin launched a free COVID-19 vaccination drive through private hospitals using their Corporate Social Responsibility funds.

3. Young scientist Madhav from Tiruvarur district develops a small handy Central Processing Unit

• A class IX student from Pazhavanakudi village in Tiruvarur district, S. Madhav, has developed a small handy computer core (CPU).
• He also sells this device online at a lower price. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. K. Stalin called him in person and congratulated him.

3. திருவாரூா் மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இளம் விஞ்ஞானி மாதவ் கையடக்க கணினி மையக் கருவியை உருவாக்கியுள்ளார்

4. Silver coin with images of the sun, moon and animals found in the Keezhadi excavations

• A square-shaped silver coin with the images of the sun, moon and animals has been found in the Keezhadi excavation along the Vaigai river in the Sivaganga district.
• Already many items made of gold were excavated in Keezhadi.

5. Parliament passes the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Bill, 2021

• Parliament has passed the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Bill, 2021. This bill amends the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
• This amendment authorises the District Magistrate, including the Additional District Magistrate, to issue adoption orders to ensure speedy disposal of cases and enhance accountability.
• The bill also seeks to categorise offences wherein the maximum sentence is more than seven years imprisonment, but no minimum sentence or a minimum sentence of less than seven years has been provided as “serious offences” under the Juvenile Justice Act.
• The eligibility parameters for the appointment of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) members have been redefined. The criteria for the disqualification of the CWC members have also been introduced to ensure that only the persons capable of rendering quality service with requisite competence and integrity are appointed to the CWC.

5. சிறார் நீதி (பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு) திருத்த மசோதா, 2021ஐ நாடாளுமன்றம் நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளது

• சிறார் நீதி (பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு) திருத்த மசோதா, 2021ஐ நாடாளுமன்றம் நிறைவேற்றியது. இந்த மசோதா சிறார் நீதி (பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு) சட்டம், 2015ஐ திருத்தி இருக்கிறது.
• இந்த திருத்தம் கூடுதல் மாவட்ட நீதிபதி உட்பட மாவட்ட நீதிபதிக்கு வழக்குகளை விரைவாக முடிப்பதை உறுதி செய்வதற்கும், பொறுப்புணர்வை அதிகரிப்பதற்கும் மற்றும் தத்தெடுப்பு உத்தரவுகளை பிறப்பிக்கவும் அதிகாரம் அளிக்கிறது.

6. Indigenous ‘Earth System Model’ climate model developed to study climate’s impact on Indian monsoon

• Earth System Model or IITM-ESM has been developed at the Centre for Climate Change Research (CCCR) in Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, under the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
• IITM-ESM is a numerical model that will study the long-term impact of climate change on India’s monsoon.
• It is the first climate model from South Asia that has contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) sixth assessment report (AR6).

6. இந்தியாவின் பருவமழையில் காலநிலையின் தாக்கத்தை ஆய்வு செய்ய உள்நாட்டில் ‘பூமி அமைப்பு மாதிரி’ காலநிலை மாதிரி உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

• மத்திய புவி அறிவியல் அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் புனேவில் உள்ள இந்திய வெப்பமண்டல வானிலை ஆய்வு நிறுவனத்தின் (IITM) காலநிலை மாற்ற ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்தில் (CCCR), புவி அமைப்பு மாதிரி அல்லது IITM-ESM உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• IITM-ESM என்பது இந்தியாவின் பருவமழையில் காலநிலை மாற்றத்தின் நீண்டகால தாக்கத்தை ஆய்வு செய்யும் ஒரு எண் மாதிரியாகும்.
• தெற்காசியாவில் இருந்து காலநிலை மாற்றம் தொடர்பான அரசாங்கங்களுக்கிடையிலான குழுவின் (IPCC) ஆறாவது மதிப்பீட்டு அறிக்கைக்கு (AR6) பங்களித்த முதல் காலநிலை மாதிரி இதுவாகும்.

7. ECIL and ESIC Hyderabad develop a multipurpose device ‘COVID BEEP’

• A multipurpose device, COVID BEEP (Continuous Oxygenation and Vital Information Detection Biomed ECIL ESIC Pod) has been developed to monitor oxygen rate, body temperature and heart rate indigenously by ECIL (Electronics Corporation of India Limited) and ESIC (Employees State Insurance Corporation) Medical college, Hyderabad.
• It is India’s first indigenous, cost-effective and wireless physiological parameters monitoring system for COVID-19 patients.

7. ECIL மற்றும் ESIC ஹைதராபாத் ‘கோவிட் பீப்’ என்னும் ஒரு பல்நோக்கு சாதனத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது

8. Nagaland exports ‘Raja Mircha’ to London for the first time

• A consignment of ‘Raja Mircha’, also referred to as king chilli, Bhoot Jolokiaand Ghost pepper from Nagaland, was exported to London for the first time. Raja Mircha got GI certification in 2008.
• King Chilli is also considered as the world’s hottest chilli based on the Scoville Heat Units (SHU).
• APEDA (Agriculture and Processed food production Export Development Authority) has facilitated exports of Jackfruits from Tripura to London and Germany, Assam Lemon to London, Red rice of Assam to the United States and Leteku ‘Burmese Grape’ to Dubai.

8. முதல் முறையாக லண்டனுக்கு ‘ராஜா மிர்ச்சா’வை ஏற்றுமதி செய்கிறது நாகாலாந்து

• நாகாலாந்தில் இருந்து மிளகாய் ராஜா, பூத் ஜோலோகியா மற்றும் பேய் மிளகு என்று குறிப்பிடப்படும் ‘ராஜா மிர்ச்சா’ முதல் முறையாக லண்டனுக்கு ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்பட்டது. இது 2008இல் புவிசார் குறியீட்டுச் சான்றிதழைப் பெற்றது.

• திரிபுராவில் இருந்து லண்டன் மற்றும் ஜெர்மனிக்கு பலாப்பழங்களையும், லண்டனுக்கு அசாம் எலுமிச்சையையும், அமெரிக்காவிற்கு அசாமின் சிவப்பு அரிசியையும் மற்றும் துபாய்க்கு லெடேகு ‘பர்மிய திராட்சை’ ஏற்றுமதிக்கும் APEDA (விவசாய மற்றும் பதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உணவு பொருட்கள் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையம்) உதவியுள்ளது.

9. Union Ministry of Defence approves budgetary support of Rs. 498.80 crores for the next 5 years for iDEX

• The Department of Defence Production under the Union Ministry of Defence has approved, Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) with budgetary support of Rs. 498.80 crores for the next 5 years (till FY 2026).
• The objective of this scheme is to provide financial support to startups/MSMEs/individual innovators and partner incubators through Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO).
• The Support for Prototype and Research Kickstart (SPARK) is the grant mechanism of iDEX.

9. மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகம் iDEXக்கு அடுத்த 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ரூ. 498.80 கோடி பட்ஜெட் ஆதரவுக்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது

• மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் உள்ள பாதுகாப்புத் தயாரிப்புத் துறை, பாதுகாப்புத் துறை மேம்பாடுக்கான புத்தாக்கத் திட்டத்திற்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது. அதற்கு அடுத்த 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு (2026 நிதியாண்டு வரை) ரூ. 498.80 கோடி நிதி ஆதரவு வழங்கப்படும்.
• இத்திட்டத்தின் நோக்கம், பாதுகாப்பு புத்தாக்க அமைப்பு (DIO) மூலம் தொடக்க நிறுவனங்கள்/சிறு, குறு மற்றும் நடுத்தர தொழில் நிறுவனங்கள்/தனிப்பட்ட கண்டுபிடிப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் பங்குதாரர்களுக்கு நிதி உதவி வழங்குவதாகும்.
• முன்மாதிரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி தொடங்க ஆதரவு (SPARK) iDEXஇன் மானிய நிதி வழங்கும் அமைப்பாகும்.

Tamil film ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ has received Film Companion’s FC Gold award.

• Arya’s character Kabilan was inspired from the famous American boxer Muhammad Ali.

• ‘Dancing’ Rose played by Shabeer Kallarakkalwas inspired from the British boxer Naseem Hamed, who was known for his unique fluidic movements that almost mimics a dance form.
• Santhosh Pratap’s character Raman was based on George Foreman, who is one of the oldest heavyweight champions in the history of international boxing.
• The character Beedi Rayappan (played by Gajapathi) too was inspired from Githeri Muthu, a fisherman-boxer, who was known for defeating a prominent anglo-Indianboxer Nat Terry. Periyar bestowed the title of ‘Dravida Veeran’ (the Dravidian Braveman) to Muthu.

11. International Tiger Day – 29 July

• International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on 29 July to spread awareness on tiger conservation.
• 29 July marks the day in which several countries signed the agreement in the Petersburg Tiger Summit, Russia in 2010. Tiger-populated countries have set a target to double the tiger population by the end of the year 2022.

11. சர்வதேச புலிகள் தினம் – 29 ஜூலை

• புலிகள் பாதுகாப்பு குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 29 ஜூலை அன்று சர்வதேச புலிகள் தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
• 29 ஜூலை 2010இல் ரஷ்யாவின் செயிண்ட் பீட்டர்ஸ்பர்க் புலிகள் உச்சிமாநாட்டில் பல நாடுகள் ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டன. புலிகள் உள்ள நாடுகள் 2022ஆம் ஆண்டு இறுதிக்குள் புலிகளின் எண்ணிக்கையை இரட்டிப்பாக்க இலக்கு நிர்ணயித்துள்ளன.
