In data interpretation the questions were based on Line and tabular ones and it is not mostly difficult and one can solve it if one has constant practice. The number series, number series and approximation fell in the easy section and only few fell in the moderate ones. Most of the candidates will not lay their hands on the miscellaneous part as this usually takes some extra time to crack and some questions may be challenging.

You can expect the same ones with minor changes in this part. Like in SBI PO concentrate more in the miscellaneous part as the SBI PO MAINS contained a whole lot of miscellaneous topics in  the DI section. So brace yourselves for this part.

The level of then questions asked in this section was moderate and the puzzles were time consuming. A floor based puzzle and a linear arrangement and a 8 member seating arrangement were asked. If you are not strong in solving the puzzle , better try to increase your level of solving in other topics in the reasoning section and also be prepared for the ultimate level , if you are not attending the puzzle. The inequalities and syllogism questions were easy and in the syllogism , the questions were asked in the old pattern and you could expect a change in that too in this year ( Not sure, but you can expect it). The miscellaneous section questions were easy and do note that your level of solving these questions should be accurate. Many of the candidates are strong in reasoning section and will try to attempt this as their first one.

There will not be much changes in this section in this section and you may expect a little changes in the difficulty level since there is a chance of high difficulty level questions being asked.

This section determines your scoring as many find this section difficult. If you practice smart and crack this one , you can easily clear this preliminary exams and see yourselves in the next part. For the reading comprehension mostly editorial based contents were being asked and there is a change in that too in the recent times. So read all the economic related articles without fail to crack this section. To crack the cloze test and the  error spotting , you should be good at your grammar skills , if you are not strong in this section , study the grammar section from the basics which will give you the needed results. The sentence rearrangement cannot be speculated here as it is unpredictable , the one who have a constant reading practice will crack those questions easily and the ones who are meager readers find it difficult and at times , the questions were definitely easy to crack.

In the recently completed SBI PO prelims 2017 , there was no sentence rearrangement and there was sentence improvement. the questions were in the moderate range and you expect the same in the IBPS PO too.

What Should You do ?

Since the cut off for the SBI PO was high , you can expect the same for the IBPS PO too with some minor changes. Also your accuracy determines your marks in the prelims. As your accuracy plays a major role , be accurate and make sure it is high. Also don’t take too much time for any section as it will hinder your ways of getting marks in other section. Do read all the questions because if the unattended questions were easy , it may bother you more( So read everything & attend with accuracy).

Be strong in the basics as this will save you when the questions were in the difficult range or in a new patten. Prepare the topics in the difficult range as the questions ranges in that level in recent times. Try many mocks before the exam because it would give you idea to solve more questions than the usual.

So be prepared for everything as this is the most important exam in this year. Don’t waste further time and start preparing for the exams.
