1. Face mask developed by MIT, Harvard detects COVID-19 Infection

• Corona face mask developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard can diagnose if the wearer is infected with COVID-19 infection.
• This mask contains tiny, disposable sensors to detect SARS-CoV-2 viruses within 90 minutes.

2. Grene Robotics develops India’s first indigenous digital drone defence system ‘Indrajaal’

• Grene Robotics of Hyderabad has designed and developed India’s first indigenous digital drone defence system called ‘Indrajaal’.
• It has the capability to autonomously protect an area of 1000-2000 sq km against aerial threats.

3. Chinese Communist Party celebrates its 100^th anniversary

• Chinese Communist Party celebrated its 100^th anniversary on 1 July 2021. The celebrations took place at Tiananmen Square in Beijing under President Xi Jinping.

Chinese Communist Party:

• The Chinese Communist Party was founded by Mao Zedong in 1921. It fought against the Japanese occupation and took over China in 1949 and formed the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
• Deng Xiaoping replaced Mao’s hardline Marxism with the ideology of “socialism with chinese characteristics”. China is the second-largest economy of the world.

3. சீன கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி தனது நூற்றாண்டு விழாவைக் கொண்டாடுகிறது

• சீன கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி தனது நூற்றாண்டு விழாவை 1 ஜூலை 2021 அன்று கொண்டாடிகிறது. ஜனாதிபதி ஜி ஜின்பிங்கின் கீழ் பெய்ஜிங்கில் உள்ள தியான்மென் சதுக்கத்தில் இந்த கொண்டாட்டங்கள் நடைபெற்றன.

4. India ranks 10^th in the Global Cybersecurity Index 2020

• Global Cybersecurity Index 2020 is the fourth edition released by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialised agency of the United Nations.
• India ranked 10^th in the fourth edition of the Global Cyber ​​Security Index 2020 (GCI), a significant jump of 37 places from its previous GCI rank of 47 in 2018.
• India also ranks fourth in the Asia-Pacific region.
• The top rank in the GCI was achieved by the US, the UK and Saudi Arabia.
• In the Asia Pacific region, South Korea and Singapore are on top and fourth globally.

4. உலக சைபர் பாதுகாப்பு குறியீடு 2020இல் இந்தியா 10வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது

• He broke the record of 19 years old Sergey Karjakin in 2002.

6. National Doctors’ Day – 1 July

• 1 July is celebrated as National Doctors’ Day annually by Indian Medical Association to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contribution of physicians towards serving mankind.
• This day marks the birth and death anniversary of the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Bidhan Chandra Roy. He was born on 1 July 1882 and died 1 July 1962. He was honoured with Bharat Ratna.

6. தேசிய மருத்துவர்கள் தினம் – 1 ஜூலை

• மனித குலத்திற்கு சேவை செய்வதில் மருத்துவர்களின் விலைமதிப்பற்ற பங்களிப்பை அங்கீகரித்து கொண்டாடுவதற்காக இந்திய மருத்துவ சங்கத்தால் ஆண்டுதோறும் 1 ஜூலை தேசிய மருத்துவர்கள் தினமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
• இந்த நாள் புகழ்பெற்ற மருத்துவரும் மேற்கு வங்கத்தின் இரண்டாவது முதலமைச்சருமான டாக்டர் பிதான் சந்திர ராயின் பிறந்தநாள் மற்றும் நினைவு தினத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது. 1 ஜூலை 1882இல் பிறந்த அவர், 1 ஜூலை 1962இல் இறந்தார். அவருக்கு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

7. National Chartered Accountants Day – 1 July

• 1 July is observed as National Chartered Accountants Day annually to celebrate the formation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on 1 July 1949.
• ICAI is the sole licensing and regulatory body for the financial audit and accounting profession in India.

• 1 ஜூலை 1949 அன்று இந்திய பட்டயக் கணக்காளர்கள் நிறுவனம் (ICAI) அமைக்கப்பட்டதை கொண்டாடும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் 1 ஜூலை தேசிய பட்டயக் கணக்காளர்கள் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• ICAI என்பது இந்தியாவில் நிதி தணிக்கை மற்றும் கணக்கியலுக்கான ஒரே உரிமம் வழங்கும் மற்றும் ஒழுங்குமுறை அமைப்பாகும்.

8. Good and Services Tax Day – 1 July

• Good and Services Tax (GST) Day is observed on 1 July to mark the implementation of GST regime – “One Nation-One Market-One Tax”.
• GST was announced on 1 July 2017 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

9. SBI celebrates its 66^th Foundation Day

• State Bank of India (SBI), which is the oldest commercial bank in India is celebrating its 66^th year on 1 July 2021.
• The Bank of Madras, the Bank of Calcutta and the Bank of Bombay, were merged to form the Imperial Bank of India. It later became the State Bank of India on 1 July 1955.

• Venkaiah Naidu was born on 1 July 1949 in Chavatapalem of Andhra Pradesh.

• Vice-President is the second highest constitutional position in India.

11. National Investigation Agency (NIA)

• NIA is a Central Counter Terrorism Law Enforcement Agency established under the National Investigation Agency Act 2008.
• NIA works under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
• Officers of the NIA are drawn from the Indian Police Service and the Indian Revenue Service.
• It is empowered to deal with terrorism related crimes across states without special permission from the states. It investigates cases against atomic and nuclear facilities and counterfeit Indian currency. It is also empowered to investigate offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
