• Tamil Nadu Medical and Health Minister Ma Subramanian has said the ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’ scheme will be launched by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and will start soon.

1. ‘மக்களைத் தேடி மருத்துவம்’ என்ற திட்டம் தமிழ்நாட்டில் விரைவில் தொடங்கப்பட உள்ளது

• ‘மக்களைத் தேடி மருத்துவம்’ என்ற திட்டத்தை முதலமைச்சர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் விரைவில் தொடங்க இருப்பதாக தமிழ்நாடு மருத்துவம் மற்றும் மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வுத்துறை அமைச்சர் மா. சுப்ரமணியன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

2. Sardar Patel Award 2020 of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research was awarded to the National Banana Research Centre, Trichy

• The National Banana Research Centre, Trichy, was awarded the Sardar Patel Award 2020 for the Best Research Institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
• Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar presented the award.
• The research centre preserves the genes of the traditional banana species of India.

2. திருச்சி தேசிய வாழை ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்திற்கு இந்திய வேளாண் ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சிலின் சர்தார் பட்டேல் விருது 2020ஐ வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

• திருச்சி தேசிய வாழை ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்திற்கு இந்திய வேளாண் ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சிலின் சிறந்த ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்திற்கான சர்தார் பட்டேல் விருது 2020 வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• மத்திய வேளாண் துறை அமைச்சர் நரேந்திர சிங் தோமர் இந்த விருதை வழங்கினார்.
• இந்த ஆராய்ச்சி மையம் இந்தியாவின் பாரம்பரியமிக்க வாழை இனங்களின் மரபுக் கூறுகளை பாதுகாத்து வருகிறது.

3. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin introduces a new award called ‘Tagaisal Tamilar’

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin introduced a new award called ‘Tagaisal Tamilar’ (தகைசால் தமிழர்) to recognise those who contributed to the development of Tamils and Tamil Nadu.
• The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will preside over the selection committee of the new award. The selection committee consists of the Tamil Nadu Minister of Industries, Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture Minister and the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu.
• A cheque of 10 lakhs and a certificate of appreciation will be issued to the awardee by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu during the Independence Day celebrations.

3. தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் ‘தகைசால் தமிழர்‘ என்ற புதிய விருதை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி உள்ளார்

• தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கும், தமிழினத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு மாபெரும் பங்காற்றியவர்களை பெருமைப்படுத்தும் வகையில் ‘தகைசால் தமிழர்‘ என்ற புதிய விருதை தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் அறிமுகப்படுத்தி உள்ளார்.
• இந்த விருதிற்கான தேர்வு குழுவிற்கு தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் தலைமை தாங்குவார். அத்தேர்வுக் குழுவில் தமிழ்நாடு தொழில் துறை அமைச்சர், தமிழ் ஆட்சிமொழி மற்றும் தமிழ்ப் பண்பாட்டுத்துறை அமைச்சர் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாட்டின் தலைமைச் செயலாளர் ஆகியோர் இருப்பர்.
• விருது பெறுபவருக்கு பத்து இலட்சம் ரூபாய்க்கான காசோலையும், பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழும், சுதந்திரதின விழாவின் போது தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வரால் வழங்கப்படும்.

4. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin issues government order for 10.5% reservation for Vanniyars in education and employment in Tamil Nadu

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has issued the order to implement a 10.5% reservation for Vanniyars in education and employment in Tamil Nadu.
• The Government of Tamil Nadu enacted a law granting special reservations of 5% to Vanniyars, 7% to Denotified Communities and 2.5% to other Most Backward Classes within the 20% reservation given to the Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities in government appointments and educational opportunities.
• From this year (2021) onwards, all educational admissions, including vocational education, will be implemented based on the above new special quota system for most backward classes.

4. தமிழ்நாட்டில் கல்வி மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்புகளில் வன்னியர்களுக்கு 10.50% இடஒதுக்கீடு அளிப்பதற்கான அரசாணையை தமிழ்நாட்டின் முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்

• அரசுப் பணி நியமனங்கள் மற்றும் கல்வி வாய்ப்புகளிலும், மிகவும் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட வகுப்பினர்கள் மற்றும் சீர்மரபினர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ள 20% இட ஒதுக்கீட்டிற்குள்ளாக, வன்னியர்களுக்கு5%,சீர்மரபினருக்கு 7% மற்றும் இதர மிகவும் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட வகுப்பினருக்கு 2.5% சிறப்பு ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கித் தமிழ்நாடு அரசு சட்டம் இயற்றியது.
• இந்த ஆண்டு (2021) முதல் தொழிற்கல்வி உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்துக் கல்விச் சேர்க்கைகளும் மிகவும் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட பிரிவினருக்கான மேற்கூறிய புதிய சிறப்பு ஒதுக்கீட்டு முறையின் அடிப்படையிலேயே நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும்.

5. Kandla becomes India’s first Green Special Economic Zone

• Kandla SEZ (KASEZ) was awarded IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) Platinum Rating of CII (Confederation of Indian Industries). KASEZ is the First Green SEZ (Special Economic Zone) to achieve the IGBC Green Cities Platinum Rating for Existing Cities.
• IGBC Platinum rating has been awarded for Green master planning, policy initiatives and implementation of green infrastructure by CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

5. கண்ட்லா இந்தியாவின் முதல் பசுமை சிறப்பு பொருளாதார மண்டலமாகிறது

6. Union Ministry of Science and Technology is to set up a first-of-its-kind “Centre of Excellence” in the Northeast

• Union Ministry of Science and Technology is to set up a first-of-its-kind “Centre for Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development” as a Centre of Excellence in the Northeast.
• It is to be established at Kimin in Arunachal Pradesh. The Department of Biotechnology funds the project.

• Union Women and Child Development (WCD) Minister Smriti Zubin Irani will launch a 24/7 helpline number for women affected by violence. This helpline aims to facilitate an integrated range of complaint and counseling services for women affected by violence. Any girl or woman aged 18 years and above can seek help by calling on this helpline.
• The helpline will link them with appropriate authorities such as police, hospitals, district legal service authority, psychological services and providing information about women-related government programmes across the country through a single uniform number.

7. மத்திய டபிள்யுசிடி (WCD) அமைச்சர் ஸ்மிருதி ஜுபின் இரானி வன்முறையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களுக்கு 24/7 உதவி எண்ணை அறிமுகப்படுத்த உள்ளார்

8. Union Government proposes to set up National Research Foundation to strengthen the research ecosystem

• Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the Union Government has proposed to set up a National Research Foundation (NRF) to strengthen the research ecosystem in the country with an outlay of 50,000 crores over a period of five years.
• NRF is being envisaged as an umbrella structure that will improve linkages between research and development, academia and industry.

• Puri in Odisha became the first city in India to implement the drink from tap project. This provides potable water directly from the tap.
• Thus, Puri became the first Indian city to achieve a 24/7 quality drinking water supply.

10. Union Minister Rajnath Singh participates in the SCO Defence Ministers’ Meet in Tajikistan

• Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s Defence Ministers Meet in Dushanbe of Tajikistan.
• Shangai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) has a population of almost half of the world’s population.

11. Philippines becomes the first country to approve ‘golden rice’ for commercial production

• Philippines has become the first country in the world to approve the commercial production of genetically modified “golden rice”.
• Golden rice is enriched with beta-carotene, which is the precursor to vitamin A. This will help to combat childhood blindness since nearly 17 per cent of children under the age of five in the Philippines are deficient in vitamin A.
• Golden rice was approved in Australia, the USA and Canada in terms of safety, but it has not been approved for commercial production.

12. Indian Naval Ship Talwar participates in Exercise Cutlass Express 2021

• Indian Naval Ship Talwar had participated in Exercise Cutlass Express 2021. It was conducted along the East Coast of Africa.
• Exercise Cutlass Express is a multi-national annual maritime exercise conducted to promote national and regional maritime security in East Africa and the Western Indian Ocean. Indian Navy is participating in the exercise in a ‘trainer role’.

12. தல்வார் கட்லாஸ் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் 2021 பயிற்சியில் இந்திய கடற்படை கப்பல் பங்கேற்கிறது

• தல்வார் கட்லாஸ் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் 2021 பயிற்சியில் இந்திய கடற்படை கப்பல் பங்கேற்றது. இது ஆப்பிரிக்காவின் கிழக்கு கடற்கரையில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

13. Indo-Russia joint military exercise INDRA-21 is set to be held in August 2021

• The 12^thedition of the Indo-Russia joint military exercise INDRA 2021 will be held at Volgograd, Russia, in August 2021. The exercise will conduct counter-terror operations against international terror groups.

13. இந்தியா-ரஷ்யா கூட்டு ராணுவ பயிற்சியான இந்திரா-21 ஆகஸ்டு 2021இல் நடைபெற உள்ளது

• இந்தியா-ரஷ்யா கூட்டு இராணுவ பயிற்சியான இந்திரா 2021இன் 12வது பதிப்பு, ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் ரஷ்யாவின் வோல்கோகிராடில் நடைபெற உள்ளது. இந்த பயிற்சி, சர்வதேச பயங்கரவாத குழுக்களுக்கு எதிராக பயங்கரவாத எதிர்ப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளை நடத்தும்.

14. Union Ministry of Mines implements the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana

• Union Ministry of Mines has implemented the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY).
• Objectives of the PMKKKY scheme:

1. To implement developmental and welfare programs in mining-affected areas
2. To minimise the adverse impacts, during and after mining, on the environment, health and socio-economics of people in mining districts
3. To ensure long-term sustainable livelihoods for the affected people in mining areas

• The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2021 empowered the Union Government to issue directions to the state governments with respect to the composition and functions of DMF (District Mineral Foundation).

14. பிரதம மந்திரி கனீஜ் க்ஷேத்ர கல்யாண் யோஜனா திட்டத்தை மத்திய சுரங்க அமைச்சகம் செயல்படுத்துகிறது

• பிரதம மந்திரி கனீஜ் க்ஷேத்ர கல்யாண் யோஜனா (PMKKKY) திட்டத்தை மத்திய சுரங்க அமைச்சகம் செயல்படுத்தியது.
• PMKKKY திட்டத்தின் நோக்கங்கள்:

1. சுரங்கத் தொழிலால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் அபிவிருத்தி மற்றும் நலத்திட்டங்களை அமுல்படுத்துதல்
2. சுரங்க மாவட்டங்களில் உள்ள மக்களின் சுற்றுச்சூழல், சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் சமூக-பொருளாதாரம் மீது சுரங்க வேலையின் போதும் அதற்குப் பின்னரும் பாதகமான தாக்கங்களைக் குறைத்தல்
3. சுரங்கப் பகுதிகளில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு நீண்ட கால நிலையான வாழ்வாதாரங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்தல்

15. Senior Tamil Scholar Ra. Ilangumaranar passed away

• Ilangumaranar was born in Vazhavandalpuram village in the Tirunelveli district.
• He is a great Tamil scholar who dedicated himself fully to the development of the Tamil language.
• He presided over the marriages of Tamils along the Kuraldharma (Tirukkural) route.
• He established a Tamil research laboratory called ‘Valluvar Thavasalai’ at Allur next to Trichy.
• He has written more than 600 books, including ‘Suvadikalai’, ‘Purananooru in Sangam Literary Order’ and ‘Engum Pozhiyum Inbadh Tamil’.
• He was a member of the governing body of the Fourth Tamil Sangam, Madurai.
• He is the editor of the monthly ‘Sentamil’.
• He has received various awards, including the ‘Thiru vi ka Award’ of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the ‘Tamil Semmal Award’ of Madurai Kamaraj University.
• He passed away due to illness and his body was buried with state honours.

15. மூத்த தமிழறிஞர் இரா. இளங்குமரனார் காலமானார்

• திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள வாழவந்தாள்புரம் கிராமத்தில் இரா. இளங்குமரனார் பிறந்தார்.
• அவர் தமிழ் மொழி வளர்ச்சிக்காக தன்னை முழுதாக அர்ப்பணித்துக் கொண்ட முதுபெரும் தமிழறிஞர் ஆவார்.
• அவர் குறள்நெறி வழியில் தமிழர்களின் திருமணங்களை முன்னின்று நடத்தினார்.
• திருச்சியை அடுத்த அல்லூரில் ‘வள்ளுவர் தவச்சாலை’ என்ற தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சிக் கூடத்தை நிறுவினார்.
• இவர் ’சுவடிக்க்லை’, ’சங்க இலக்கிய வரிசையில் புறநானூறு‘, ’எங்கும் பொழியும் இன்பத் தமிழ்’ உட்பட 600க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார்.
• இவர் மதுரை நான்காம் தமிழ்ச் சங்கத்தின் ஆட்சிக்குழு உறுப்பினராக இருந்தார்.

17. APJ Abdul Kalam’s Death Anniversary – 27 July

• Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen (APJ) Abdul Kalam was born in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He studied Aerospace Engineering at Madras Institute of Technology.
• He was known as the ‘Missiile Man of India’. He played a major role in Pokhran-II nuclear tests. He served as the 11^th President of India (2002 to 2007). He was awarded India’s highest civilian honour, the ‘Bharat Ratna’.
• He passed away on 27 July 2015 while delivering a lecture at IIM-Shillong.

17. ஏ. பி. ஜே. அப்துல் கலாம் நினைவு நாள் – 27 ஜூலை

• அவுல் பக்கீர் ஜைனுலாப்தீன் (ஏ. பி. ஜே) அப்துல் கலாம் தமிழ்நாட்டின் இராமேஸ்வரத்தில் பிறந்தார். அவர் மெட்ராஸ் தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனத்தில் ஏரோஸ்பேஸ் இன்ஜினியரிங் படித்தார்.
• அவர் ‘இந்தியாவின் ஏவுகணை மனிதன்’ என்று அறியப்பட்டார். பொக்ரான்-2 அணு ஆயுத சோதனைகளில் அவர் முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்தார். அவர் இந்தியாவின் 11வது குடியரசுத் தலைவராக (2002 முதல் 2007 வரை) பணியாற்றினார். அவருக்கு இந்தியாவின் மிக உயர்ந்த குடிமை கௌரவமான ‘பாரத ரத்னா’ விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• அவர் 27 ஜூலை 2015 அன்று ஐஐஎம்-ஷில்லாங்கில் ஒரு விரிவுரையை நிகழ்த்திய போது காலமானார்.
