Uttar Pradesh Govt doubles compensation for police officials who die on duty:
The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government announced to double the exgratia amount from 20 lakhs to 40 lakh for Police officials martyred on duty.
It is also announced that the number of commendable medals, for all the units of Police Department, has been increased from 200 to 950.

Karnataka to ban Pillion Riding on Two-Wheelers With Engine Capacity up to 100 cc:
Karnataka banned pillion riders on two-wheelers of less than 100cc engine capacity to curb accidents, said an official.
“The department should not permit a pillion to travel on vehicles below 100cc, which would be in violation of the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989,” it said.

Kandla Port gets green nod to develop Rs 1,176 crore smart city:
Kandla port trust has received Rs. 1,176 crore for setting up Environment clearance in the smart Industrial port city in Kutch, Gujarat. The proposal is to develop a smart industrial port city at two separate sites in the Gandhidham. The proposal would house about 35,700 residential flats, schools and parks and it will generate more than 60,000 jobs to the people.

Hyderabad to host CFSI’s International Children’s Film Festival:
The city will host the 20th International Children’s Film Festival (ICFFI), popular as ‘The Golden Elephant’ from November 8 to 14.
The festival, being organised by Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI), will be hosted by the Telangana government and the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Sushma Swaraj’s two days visit to Bangladesh:
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in Dhaka on a two-day visit to attend a joint consultative committee meeting to review the bilateral ties and discuss ways to further strengthen the relationship. Swaraj, who arrived on a special Indian aircraft, was received by her Bangladesh counterpart AH Mahmud Ali at the Bangabandhu Air Base in Dhaka.

Maruti Suzuki India becomes largest passenger car exporter from India:
According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) Maruti Suzuki India has exported 57,300 units of passenger’s cars in the April – September period this fiscal against 54,008 units in the year ago-period, up 6 per cent. It has now been pushed to the fourth spot behind Volkswagen and General Motors.

HSBC appoints Jayant Rikhye as India CEO:
London based Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp (HSBC) has appointed Jayant Rikhye as India CEO effective from December 1, subject to regulatory approvals.
Indian born Rikhye has spent his entire career at HSBC since starting at the bank in 1989.
Rikhye’s elevation means that HSBC gets an Indian CEO after a gap of eight years since Naina Lal Kidwai completed her term in 2009.
Former AC Milan football star Kakha Kaladze is the new mayor of Tbilisi:
Georgia announced that former AC Milan football star Kakha Kaladze had been elected mayor of its capital Tbilisi.
The country’s election administration said on its website that Kaladze won 51% of the vote in Saturday’s municipal election.
WHO withdraws Mugabe’s goodwill ambassador title:
The World Health Organisation (WHO) said it had withdrawn the appointment of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe as the goodwill ambassador for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Africa.

India beat Malaysia to win its 3rd Hockey Asia Cup title:
India has crushed Malaysia 2-1 to win the Hockey Asia Cup title for the third time in Bangladesh. Ramandeep singh and Lalit Upadhyay were the stars of the match for India as they each scored a goal even before the halftime.

Virat kohli records at 200 ODI:
Indian skipper Virat Kohli became the second batsman-ever to score a hundred on his 200th ODI in the opening match against New Zealand at the Wankhede. In 200 ODIs, Kohli has scored 8888 runs, than any other batsman in the world. He is the only player to score Century after AB de Villiers in 200 ODIs. Virat Kohli hit his 31st ODI ton to overtake Ricky Ponting and jump to second on the list of most ODI centuries.

Divij Sharan and Scott Lipsky of US clinched the double title in the European Open tennis tournament in Antwerp, Belgium. The pair beat Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Julio Peralta of Chile.
Kidambi Srikanth wins Denmark Open badminton title:
Indian Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth continued his Outstanding run as he defeated South Korea’s Lee Hyun II to win Denmark Open 2017 title. With this, he has won three Super series titles this year after he clinched Australia Open and Indonesia Open.
