PM Modi to launch Mahatma Gandhi exhibition, Marking 100 years of Champaran Satyagraha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Champaran Satyagraha was a historic mass movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and its impact was phenomenal. In a series of tweet, Mr Modi said, that he will inaugurate an exhibition titled ‘Swachhagraha – Bapu Ko Karyanjali’ to mark 100 years of the historic Champaran Satyagraha today in New Delhi.
About the Swachhagraha – Bapu Ko Karyanjali’ Exhibition:
The exhibition will showcase Champaran Satyagraha and it will connect essential principles of Satyagraha with Swachhagraha. He said, the exhibition will also showcase the ground covered by the Swachh Bharat Mission in creating a mass movement towards a clean India.
April of this year marks the centenary of the Champaran Satyagraha – Mahatma Gandhi’s first Satyagraha in India.
