1. Tamil Nadu Government appoints A. K. S Vijayan as special representative in Delhi

• Former Member of Parliament K.S. Vijayan has been appointed as the Special Representative for the Tamil Nadu Government at New Delhi.
• Chief Minister Stalin is to visit New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will be his first visit after becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

3. Survey by “Campaign against child labour- Tamil Nadu and Puducherry” (CACL- TN and PY) had found out the child labour is more than doubled

• Survey conducted by “Campaign against child labour- Tamil Nadu and Puducherry” (CACL- TN & PY), an organisation working against child labour has revealed that child labour among the vulnerable communities has increased by nearly 280 per cent in Tamil Nadu during the pandemic. The survey was conducted across 24 districts in connection with the observance of World Day Against Child Labour.
• The proportion of working children increased from 28.2 per cent to 6 per cent because of the school closure. 18.6 per cent complained of some form of physical abuse at work.

• Article 24 of the Indian Constitution deals with child labour.
• Recently, India has ratified International Labour Organizations Convention (ILO) 138 (minimum age for employment) and Convention 182 (worst forms of child labour).

• குழந்தை உழைப்புஎதிர்ப்புப் பிரச்சாரம் – தமிழ்நாடு மற்றும் புதுச்சேரி) (CACL – தமிழ்நாடு மற்றும் புதுச்சேரி) என்ற அமைப்பு நடத்திய கணக்கெடுப்பில், கோவிட் பெருந்தொற்றால் தமிழ்நாட்டில் பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடிய சமூகங்களில் குழந்தைத் தொழிலாளர் எண்ணிக்கை கிட்டத்தட்ட 280 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. உலக குழந்தைத் தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு எதிரான தினத்தையொட்டி 24 மாவட்டங்களில் இந்த ஆய்வு நடத்தப்பட்டது.
• பள்ளி மூடப்பட்டதால் வேலைக்கு செல்லும் குழந்தைகளின் விகிதம் 2 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 79.6 சதவீதமாக அதிகரித்தது. 18.6 சதவீதம் பேர் வேலையில் ஏதோ ஒரு வகையான உடல் ரீதியான பாதிப்பு குறித்து புகார் கூறுகின்றனர்.

4. IIT Ropar develops India’s first power-free CPAP device ‘Jivan Vayu’

• IIT Ropar has developed India’s first power-free CPAP (Continuous Positive Airways Pressure) device ‘Jivan Vayu’. It is aimed at saving lives in low resource areas and during transit. It can be used as a substitute of CPAP machine.
• This device functions without electricity and is adapted to both kinds of oxygen generation units like O2 cylinders and oxygen pipelines in hospitals. It has an inbuilt viral filter with an efficacy of 99.99%.

CPAP (Continuous Positive Airways Pressure) machines

• CPAP machines use mild air pressure to keep the airways open. They are typically used by patients who have breathing problems and sleep apnea.

4. இந்தியாவின் முதல் மின்சாரமின்றி இயங்கும் சி.பி.ஏ.பி சாதனமான ‘ஜீவன் வாயு‘வை ஐ.ஐ.டி ரோபர் உருவாக்கியுள்ளது

• ஐஐடி ரோபர் இந்தியாவின் முதல் மின்சாரமின்றி இயங்கும் சி.பி.ஏ.பி (தொடர்ச்சியான பாசிடிவ் ஏர்வேஸ் அழுத்தம்)  சாதனமான ‘ஜீவன் வாயு‘வை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது. இது குறைந்த வளப் பகுதிகளிலும் போக்குவரத்தின் போதும் உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இது  சி.பி.ஏ.பி இயந்திரத்திற்கு மாற்றாக பயன்படுத்தப்படலாம்.
• இது மின்சாரம் இல்லாமல் செயல்படும் மற்றும் மருத்துவமனைகளில் அக்ஸிஜன் சிலிண்டர்கள் மற்றும் ஆக்ஸிஜன் குழாய்கள் போன்ற இரண்டு வகையான ஆக்ஸிஜன் உற்பத்தி அலகுகளிலும் இதனை பயன்படுத்தலாம். இதில் 99% செயல்திறன் கொண்ட உள்ளமைக்கப்பட்ட வைரஸ் வடிகட்டி உள்ளது.

• சி.பி.ஏ.பி இயந்திரங்கள் சுவாச வழிகளைத் திறந்து வைக்க லேசான காற்றழுத்தத்தைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றன. தூக்கத்தின் போது சுவாசப் பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் மூச்சுத்திணறல் உள்ள நோயாளிகளால் இவை பொதுவாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.

5. First record of the genus Pyrostria in India is found in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

• First record of the genus Pyrostria in India is found in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Pyrostria laljii is a 15 m tall tree that belongs to the genus of the coffee family. This genus is usually found in Madagascar.
• The tree was first reported from South Andaman’s Wandoor forest. The other places that host the tree are the Tirur forest and the Chidia Tapu (Munda Pahar) forest.
• It is placed under ‘critically endangered’ category of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.

5. இந்தியாவில் பைரோஸ்டிரியா பேரினத்தின் முதல் பதிவு அந்தமான் மற்றும் நிக்கோபார் தீவுகளில் காணப்படுகிறது

• இந்தியாவில் பைரோஸ்டிரியா பேரினத்தின் முதல் பதிவு அந்தமான் மற்றும் நிக்கோபார் தீவுகளில் காணப்படுகிறது. பைரோஸ்டிரியா லால்ஜி என்பது காபி குடும்பத்தின் பேரினத்திற்கு சொந்தமான 15 மீ உயரமான  மரம் ஆகும். இந்த பேரினம் பொதுவாக மடகாஸ்கரில் காணப்படுகிறது.
• இந்த மரம் முதலில் தெற்கு அந்தமானின் வாண்டூர் காட்டில் காணப்பட்டது. இந்த மரம் காணப்படும் மற்ற இடங்கள் திரூர் காடு மற்றும் சிடியா தாபு (முண்டா பஹார்) காடு ஆகியனவாகும்.
• இது இயற்கை பாதுகாப்புக்கான சர்வதேச ஒன்றியத்தின் (IUCN) சிவப்புப் பட்டியலின் ‘மிகவும் அழிந்துவரும் இனம்‘  என்னும் பிரிவின் கீழ் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

6. Madhya Pradesh Government launches ‘Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan’

• Madhya Pradesh launched ‘Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan’. It means to free from Corona with the help of the youth power campaign. Its objective is to create awareness among  the people of the state about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
• In the Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan, Teachers and around 16 lakh students will be made aware of corona infection by learning Covid appropriate behavior and vaccination. This campaign will be run by the Higher Education and Technical Education Department in collaboration with the Public Health and Family Welfare Department of the State.

6. மத்தியபிரதேச அரசு ‘யுவ சக்தி கரோனா முக்தி அபியான்‘ திட்டத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது

• மத்தியப் பிரதேசம் ‘யுவ சக்தி கரோனா முக்தி அபியான்‘ திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. இது இளைஞர்களின் சக்திவாய்ந்த பிரச்சாரத்தின் உதவியுடன் கரோனாவிலிருந்து விடுபடுவதைக் குறிக்கிறது. கோவிட்-19 தொற்று நோய் குறித்து மாநில மக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதே இதன் நோக்கமாகும்.
• சக்தி கரோனா முக்தி அபியான் என்ற திட்டத்தில், கோவிட்டின்போது கடைபிடிக்கவேண்டிய பழக்கங்கள் மற்றும் தடுப்பூசி போட்டுக்கொள்தல் பற்றி ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் சுமார் 16 லட்சம் மாணவர்களுக்கு கரோனா தொற்று குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தப்படும். இந்த இயக்கம் மாநில பொது சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குடும்ப நலத்துறையுடன் உயர்கல்வி மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப கல்வித் துறையால் இணைந்து நடத்தப்படுகிறது.

7. World Expo to be held at Dubai in October 2021

• World Expo to be held at Dubai in from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. It coincides with India’s Celebration of 75^th year of independence. 192 countries will participate in this Expo, where India will showcase 11 themes including Space Technology.
• The title of the Expo: “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”

7. துபாயில் அக்டோபர் 2021இல் உலக கண்காட்சி

• துபாயில் 1 அக்டோபர் 2021 முதல் 31 மார்ச் 2022 வரை உலக கண்காட்சி நடைபெறும். இது இந்தியாவின் 75வது சுதந்திர தினத்தையொட்டி வருகிறது. இதில் விண்வெளி தொழில்நுட்பம் உள்ளிட்ட 11 கருப்பொருள்களை இந்தியா வெளிப்படுத்தும். இந்த கண்காட்சியில் 192 நாடுகள் பங்கேற்கும்.

8. Ladakh declared as Open Defecation Free Union Territory in India

• The Union Territory of Ladakh has been declared Open Defecation Free Union Territory in India under the first phase of Swachh Bharat Mission.

Swatch Bharat Mission

• Swatch Bharat Mission was launched on 2 October 2014 to accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to focus on sanitation. It aims to achieve a clean and open defecation free (ODF) India.
• The scheme is implemented by the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

8. லடாக் இந்தியாவில் திறந்தவெளி மலம் கழிப்பு இல்லாத யூனியன் பிரதேசமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது

• தூய்மை இந்தியா இயக்கத்தின் முதல் கட்டத்தின் கீழ் லடாக் யூனியன் பிரதேசம் இந்தியாவில் திறந்தவெளி மலம் கழிப்பு இல்லாத யூனியன் பிரதேசமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தூய்மை இந்தியா இயக்கம்

• அனைவரும் சுகாதார வசதிகளைப் பெறவும், சுகாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான முயற்சிகளை விரைவுபடுத்தவும், சுகாதாரத்தில் கவனம் செலுத்தவும் 2 அக்டோபர் 2014 அன்று தூய்மை இந்தியா இயக்கம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. தூய்மையான மற்றும் திறந்தவெளி மலம் கழிப்பு இல்லாத இந்தியாவை அடைவதை இத்திட்டம் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• இத்திட்டம் மத்திய குடிநீர் மற்றும் சுகாதார அமைச்சகத்தால் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

9. Vinoo Mankad ofIndia makes into the Hall of Fame ICC

• The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a special edition intake of 10 cricket icons into the ICC Hall of Fame to mark the first ever ICC World Test Championship Final. The total number of Hall of Famers has now become 103.

• Vinoo Mankad was known as one of India’s greatest-ever all-rounders. He is one of only three cricketers to have batted in every position during his Test career. He was the coach of Sunil Gavaskar.

9. இந்தியாவின் வினூ மன்கட் ஐசிசியின் ஹால் ஆஃப் ஃபேம் பட்டியலில் இடம்பெறுகிறார்

• ஐசிசி உலக டெஸ்ட் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் இறுதிப் போட்டியைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில் ஐசிசி ஹால் ஆஃப் ஃபேம் பட்டியலில் 10 சிறப்பு கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்களை சர்வதேச கிரிக்கெட் கவுன்சில் (ஐசிசி) அறிவித்தது. ஹால் ஆஃப் ஃபேம் பட்டியலில் உள்ள மொத்த வீரர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை இப்போது 103ஆக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.

• Global Wind Day is observed on 15 June every year. This day is observed to raise awareness about wind energy and how its harnessed. Global Wind Day was first inaugurated in This day was organised by the European Wind Energy Association.

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 15 ஜூன் அன்று உலக காற்று தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. காற்றாலை ஆற்றல் மற்றும் அது எவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது என்பது பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த இந்த நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. உலக காற்று தினம் முதன்முதலில் 2007இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இந்த நாள் ஐரோப்பிய காற்று எரிசக்தி சங்கத்தால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.

11. World Elderly Abuse Awareness Day – 15 June

• World Elderly Abuse Awareness Day is observed on 15 June every year to educate people about the verbal, physical, or emotional abuses suffered by the elderly population around the world. The day was officially recognised by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2011.
• 2021 Theme: “Access to Justice”

11. உலக முதியோர் வன்கொடுமை விழிப்புணர்வு தினம் – 15 ஜூன்

• உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள முதியோர் அனுபவிக்கும் வாய்மொழி, உடல் அல்லது உணர்ச்சி ரீதியான துன்பங்களைப் பற்றி மக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்த ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 15 ஜூன் அன்று உலக முதியோர் வன்கொடுமை விழிப்புணர்வு தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த நாள் 2011இல் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச் சபையால் (UNGA) அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டது.
