Geographical Indication for Erode Turmeric

Turmeric grown in the Erode region was conferred the Geographical Indication tag, enabling the farmers and traders from the region to claim sole rights over the famed ‘Erode Manjal’.
The Geographical Indication (GI) tag is granted to products that are special for a particular geographical area and prevents misuse of the popularity of the products by others.

ஈரோடு பகுதியில் விழையும் மஞ்சளுக்கு புவிசார் குறியீடு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Ayodhya Land Dispute Case

The Supreme Court referred to the Ayodhya land dispute case for mediation. The former retired justice F M Ibrahim Kalifulla will head a panel of mediators in the case.
Other members of the mediation panel are Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Senior Advocate Sriram Panchu.

மத்தியஸ்த குழு அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ரவிசங்கர் மற்றும் மூத்த வழக்கறிஞர் ஸ்ரீராம் பஞ்சு ஆகியோரும் இந்த குழுவில் 
இடம் பெறுவர்.

International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. The theme for International Women’s Day of 2019 is “BalanceforBetter”.

சர்வதேசப் மகளிர் தினம்

ஆண்டுதோறும் மார்ச் 8-ம் தேதியன்று சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
இத்தினத்தின் இந்த ஆண்டிற்கான கருப்பொருள் ‘சிறப்பான வாழ்க்கைக்குச் சமநிலை’
(BalanceforBetter) என்பதாகும்.

New Rs.20 Coin

The government has announced new Rs 20 coin which will be shaped like a 12 -edged polygon. The composition of the new coin will be 65 percent copper, 15 percent zinc and 20 percent nickel for the outer ring.

புதிய 20 ரூபாய் நாணயம்

மத்திய அரசு 20 ரூபாய் நாணயத்தை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
இது 12 முனைகளைக் கொண்டதாக (பாலிகோன் – பல கோணங்கள்) வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த நாணயத்தின் கலவையில் 65 சதவீதம் தாமிரமும், 15 சதவீதம் துத்தநாகமும் மற்றும் வெளிப்புற பகுதியான 20 சதவீதம் நிக்கல்லும் கலந்துள்ளது.

Yuva Vigyani Karyakram

ISRO has launched a special programme for school children called ‘Young Scientist Programm’ or ‘Yuva Vigyani Karyakram’.
The program aims at imparting basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications to the younger ones.

யுவ விக்யானி காரியகரம்

• பள்ளிக் குழந்தைகளுக்காக ஒரு சிறப்புத் திட்டமான 'இளம் அறிவியலாளர் திட்டம்' அல்லது 
'யுவ விக்யானி காரியகரம்' என்ற திட்டத்தை இஸ்ரோ தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
• இந்தத் திட்டமானது இளம் வயதினர்களுக்கு விண்வெளித் தொழில்நுட்பம், விண்வெளி 
அறிவியல் மற்றும் விண்வெளி பயன்பாடுகள் குறித்து அடிப்படை அறிவைப் பயிற்றுவித்தலை 
நோக்கங்களாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
