All the member states of the United Nations contribute finances to its operation to help further its goals.

The United Nations has become the truly universal global organization to address issues that transcend national boundaries and cannot be resolved by any one country acting alone.

Aside from world peace, it protects human rights, promotes social and economic development, and provides financial support around the world in cases of famine, natural disaster and armed conflict.

Every year, the global UN Information Centre organizes a variety of events to mark UN Day. These includes: flying the UN flag on important buildings, Conductingseminars,  panel discussions, symposiums for students, art competitions, rallies, film screenings and book/photo exhibitions, and social media campaigns.
